So I just saw this deal on the deals thread. I thought I would post it on here for you guys to ponder on.
IFI DSD Signature Final This dac/amp at $350 is quite the bargain. Reason why I say this is because from reading the specs. This is a specialized version of the DSD Singature has exactly the same specs actually. Probably IFI clearing out remaining stock of these. Would love to see if any of the @iFi audio reps can confirm this. The signature goes for $750 new at retail shops.

This portable dac/amp will drive everything you got not to mention sounds stupendous for your IEMs. Its incorporation of IFI match, 3D space & Bass boost is brilliant. You can drive everything off of this including very sensitive IEMs. Is a clear upgrade on the old IFI DSD Black Label and classic among classic dac/amps. If any of you guys are considering a dac/amp and even better a portable dac/amp one you can take from work and back, take on vacations and such. This is an ideal unit. I dont usually APB on deals stuff but for his one. YES this is a DEAL.

Yes, it's a good deal.
If I didn't already have the original Signature, I would get it.

This should be the latest model, featuring an updated chip for full MQA decoding.

If any of you guys are considering a dac/amp and even better a portable dac/amp one you can take from work and back, take on vacations and such. Or just own one of the best dac/amps at this price point. This is an ideal unit. I dont usually APB on deals stuff but for this one. YES this is a DEAL.
I am guessing it would definitely be better than an xDuoo XD05 BAL2 as far as sound-quality of both the DAC and the amp section?
I really like iFi's house sound and their Burr Brown implementations so can't imagine this not sounding incredible, especially for that price.
I have zero need for this but if I was considering anything I would jump all over this deal. Thanks for the heads up, @Dsnuts!
EDIT: After thinking about it, this seems more similar to the XD05 Pro but costs $450 less!

Because I am almost hearing the opposite. I have maybe 600 hrs of listening time with the Winter vs the almost new Wind. I find the Wind to be quite a bit brighter, in fact they maybe equally bright but the Winter has a smoother denser treble vs the looser presentation of the Wind so I precept it as being brighter. Also the Winter is notably more nasal to my ears and so more mid-centric. The Winter is known to have a large stage presentation so it's very strange to me that you mentioned claustrophobic.

I understand we all hear things differently but this is a bit far from what I am hearing for sure.
cool matey

The popularity of the Qudelix 5K isn't just that it has a very capable parametric EQ, it is that it has that and also AutoEQ, which taps into this project database:

https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/blob/master/results/INDEX.md

And it can also import EQ profiles from Squiglink:

https://forum.qudelix.com/post/how-to-use-squiglink-with-qudelix-5k-12581172

Qudelix users can easily use any of those EQ presets either as-is, or as the basis of their own custom preset they can tweak to their liking. I'm not aware of other audio products with EQ making it that easy to pull in community EQ presets and use them.
I am sure we are in agreement. I probably should have excluded the “parametric”, and just stressed a very capable EQ.

Non-detachable ultra budget $15 bullet shaped IEM incoming from Rose Technics.

PEK PU polymer HD diaphragm, 8 mm DD
Tesla Magnets
Metal Resonance Chamber
$15 USD

Would have to go against benchmarks at this price bracket like the Wan'er, Salnotes Zero etc, but the lack of detachable cable loses some marks already.

I have it. Not bad, but Tanchjim One sounds better. This one have a bit thin midrange and shouty upper mid.

Looking promising, both the IEM and the graph.
