I managed to audition these two flagships for about 20 min each - and this statement will probably get me blacklisted by the companies - but IMHO they ain't worth the entrance fee.

They are just about 10 - 20% better in technical chops than something midFI like the Moondrop Variations, which is way cheaper.

Yes another case of diminishing returns, and at that TOTL pricing I would rather pay for something more established that has better resale value.
I highly doubt one can palm off these on the 2nd hand market without a big loss.

So true. Just got my Legato from Linsoul in 9 days (I am in Budapest, Hungary; post was extrem fast this time); ordered KZ PR2 (had all version of PR1, sold all).

For me the "detox" part is to sell all I do not like that much, keeping max 3 IEM at a time. Sold 5 in the last ~3 month and have 3 more on sell now.

If KZ nails with PR2, it will be a benchmark hard to beat because of the asking price... Unless you are chasing all the microdetails (the $600+ discourse pages ago)

BA bass can be decent with enough amping

Probably used a dual set and a quad set in unison.
Tansio Mirai used two sets of 4ESTs. Each set has its own sound bore too. Reason why the treble is special on the RGBs.

yes, but it's not that evident....since bass isn't very boosted. but the punch have more ''thumping edge'' and sub bass resonance is cleaner, more natural, which benefit contrabass extension. Bass layering have indeed extra physicality that improve a bodied sens of presence.
Simgot EA2000 are more Bass-Fi than Basshead, still, its the most bassy IEM from them.
But don't expect miracle à la Fir Xe6 in term of physical punch.
