Yes, thank-you, I have been following the drama a little, though it looks like the 2nd, 2nd version will (soon) be upon us. The original 2nd version (Timeless 2) somehow was given to a few YouTubers and found one favorable review, and one not so good. And I mean..........I think it is commendable that they are trying to dial-in this new version, and not just release anything. Cheers.

It’s been, what? Six months since the first Timeless II got into the hands of some reviewers? 7hz really took their time in the re-tuning process. Personally, I think that’s a good sign. They’re not doing a turn and burn. They actually want this one to be exceptionally good.

Can someone elucidate me on how the heck a retune can take so long? Surely once you get some feedback from, say, 10 reviewers, you already know where the sticky spots in tuning might lay and you go ahead and target those specifically, which cannot take more than what, say a month. Unless you're developing a whole new driver tech etc.

I agree, carbon fiber works on (some) cars, on IEMs not so much.

By the time they ship it out and it makes the 1 month pilgrimage from China, a PRO version of this pokemon would have been released!
Pro X 3 lol

Weekend started nicely with these two shipments arriving together. Cayin N3 Ultra(my own purchased unit) and Sennheisser HD490 Pro(which is a loaner from a retailer in my country for Review). I listened to the N3 ultra at the CJ SG, honestly was not much impressed at the event, maybe because i heard an IEM which I was not very familiar with. I bought it still because i wanted something that could complement what my DX320 is offering right now. And when i listened to it carefully at my home with my IEMs that i properly understand, I am in love, it is a neutral and lively sounding DAP with a clean output and renders amazing stage depth. I just love the Tube Glow as well haha.

Will share image of HD490 Pro tomorrow as i was too busy listening to the setups the entire day lol.

Pros:
Generously accessorized, with modular cable to boot
Solid build
Decent comfort despite larger shells
Above average isolation
Moderately easy to drive
Balanced U-shaped tonality
Very clean sonics
Textured, fast and tight bass
Transparent midrange
Good sparkle in treble
Excellent technicalities - imaging, soundstage and micro-detailing are a highlight

Cons:
Shells are on the larger side and are prone to smudges
Metallic timbre noted in upper frequencies
Not for bassheads
Darnit! I got so excited with your review, because this is right down my alley, and then I looked it up...$400.00. NOPE. PASS. Not paying $400 for something when performance for something sub $100 is so great, and $200-$300 is reaching critical performance. All these kilobuck hunters...I'll hold my tongue, as not to ruffle the feathers and the pitchforks, but yeah, for me to go past $500, it's gonna take something truly special, but this is me. My personal take. Everyone is different.

Akros triple review of ZSN Pro 2, ZS10 Pro 2, and AS16Prox

Akros also loves the Trio. So do I. I spent half the night with the EA500LM and with the Trio, and I ended up sticking with the Trio, even though the Simgot crushes it in terms of resolution and clarity in the treble region (timbre as well, and it's not close), but as a total package, something about the Trio just satisfies me.

Nice review brother. I listened to the Aurora at the event. I was impressed earlier with the sound, but then I got to know the attractive price tag of just 400$ approx, my face instantly fell. I mean it is good sounding, but 300-400$ is a highly-competitive market right now.

I jumped on the Timeless pretty early on in the hype, and purchased it and the Wu almost at the same time (actually I did), and initially, I favored the Timeless, because of it's beautifully sparkly top end, vs the more reserved and thick sound of the Wu, but eventually I ended up selling the Timeless and keeping the Wu because the Timeless is very V shaped. When you listen to these two back to back, you realize how recessed the mids are on the Timeless, and female voices and even male voices to a degree sound much more distant than the Wu. Just a bit too recessed, and I don't regret it, as I truly love the Wu.
