Back on my grind (attempting to review sets without life problems getting shoved in the way :D)

My top 3 haven't change much (or at all) :
20240215_102520.jpg

Sony IER-Z1R

Unique Melody Mest OG / Mk1

20230423_121836.jpg

Empire Ears Odin

The Subtonic Storm high chance will take down 1 of them, but I haven't got any chance to listen and I know I can't afford (or willing to spend that much, yet)

Since we are at end of March, would be fun to ask what is people's current 3 favorites that you own?
--------
Can start my self, in no order:
  • Campfire Audio Bonneville
  • AüR Audio Ascension
  • 634ears Miroak-II
I can compile the entrys over a week if it's interesting for folks, I think it's interesting to see what people love here.

You put no 1 until 3 but you mentioned 5 IEMs here. Hey stop cheating, I could use that trick too 😉

In order of eartime, as it's a ever shuffling order for faves, but eartime enjoyment since the beginning of the year?

1. CCA Trio
2. Oriveti OD200
3. Aur Audio Aure/AKG N5005

1. AuR Ascension

2. AuR Neon Pro

3. Letshuoer S12 Pro

And I am absolutely genuine on number three regardless of budget price. They edge out IE600 and Campfire Solaris Mercury for my taste.
I c an totally see this. I sold my IE600, and I'm a Sennheiser head, because the CCA Trio legitimately outdo the IE600 for oodles and oodles CHEAPER. All the things and sonics that I expected to get out of the IE600, I get out of the Trio, and honestly, though I sold them because I felt having them and the OD200 redundant, the Simgot EA1000 are sonically superior to the IE600.

Great idea, Leo, should be a very wide variety of sets in this thread!

Mine are:
• AüR Audio Aure
• AüR Audio Ascension
• AüR Audio Aurora

Haha oh my, this looks horrible huh. Not sponsored by AüR at all, trust me, I'd love a sponsorship. 😆

My EA1000 is close! Can't wait. I believe it has the potential to be my favourite single DD I've heard, let's see.

Ooh, comparing anything to Gaea is, hm, moot? Almost? Very unique certainly.

I dunno? EA1000 is really good for sure. No denying it, but it's lacking stage depth and the width is ok, and the bass is on the lighter side, but fast. quick. I liked it for jazz and instrumental music, but not so much rock/metal/vocal music. So you might fall in love with it? I found them decent if not good, but nothing above average.

Totally agree. The spacing is impeccable and so is the stage always seems perfect to the nature of the song played. As you note, transparency, as in no unnatural peaks to any frequency, is also excellent and helps a lot for metal. Imaging is superb. No congestion, clearly delineated. Definite must for metal heads. I picked up my 660s2; its detail resolution seems better to my ears. But the other parameters, for its price, Trio is pretty awesome indeed. Balanced, spacious, and musical.

The detail resolution is a result of the FR or is there something else in drivers itself that enhances it?
These things have that crossover working in tandem, so three very good cheap drivers pick out that detail incredibly. I knew it was gonna be a detail monster the night I finally was able to decipher some layered vocals buried deeper in the mix in the chorus of Cinder's Please God. For the first time I heard them clear as a bell, in the middle of the night, and I was like "What?!" But I think it has to do with the crossovers in the Trio? Though I could be wrong?

Got a busy coming weekend and time leftover will be focused on reviews for Kinera Verdandi and AüR Audio Alita, two very nice and musical sets. One bright and energetic, and another being warm and relaxed.

Haha well done, boss! Zagreb disco nights will never be the same again with Kz Castor bass. Hope you got the bass version!
Hahaha, only Hugo Boss! I am glad you're still ready to mess around :)
But I do trust your senses; that's the reason I ordered one, hmm, two with Trio :)

Yes, yes...bass (not boss :) )version, always!
And after I receive these two...I will be able to tell you if it's still worth grabbing (not bragging :) ) FD11

BTW..did you know that, hm, before you were born, probably :)
Your country and mine were in a very close relationship :)

That country I was born and grew up in doesn't exist anymore...

Cheers, mate!

Two stunners. I am sure our eyes do some of the listening too and these are off to a great start in that regard even before putting them in our ears. But I'm sure they deliver if only ears were to decide too.

Having an absolute blast of a time listening to this enthralling album on a magical single DD - Venture Electronics SiE. Awfully tired but at least an hour of tunes is a must.
