Maybe look at Penon. They specialise in rich, musical IEMs. As a smaller manufacturer, you can get a lot for your money. Their forum here can advise which model might suit you best.Still a little unsure about an iem to save for. The most unique and rich sounding iem under $1000? Something that would be hard to replicant or hasn't been replicated in some fashion.

It has always been beneficial to hear what iems sound close to each other. That has always helped me avoid duplication. If any of you who have heard a lot of iems or review would like to categorize iems in to similar if not identical types of sound I would love that. The iems don't have to be identical but sound close enough across price brackets to allow us to be selective. You could put it in price brackets, such as under $50, under $100, under $150 and so on. As I said, instead of grouping iems by value or how they are configured, group more so to how similar they sound to each other.

I might be able to run a clustering algorithm on my graph dataset. Might be able to cluster frequency response that wayIt has always been beneficial to hear what iems sound close to each other. Good suggestion, btw. Never thought about that.

ISN NEO 5
Read the reviews in the Head Gear section. THE ISN G4 is a good cable to use with the Neo 5.

Some of my recommendations, not the best, but they are unique on the tuning:It has always been beneficial to hear what iems sound close to each other. That has always helped me avoid duplication. ACOUSTUNE. (most of them but specially 1655cu) or Whizzer HE03D if you want quality/quantity on midbass. OKAVANGO could suit here as well.
TRI STARLIGHT. If you want a tribird with tons of treble. Ej07 sidegrade.
DUNU ZEN PRO. Best DD Ive tried. Under neutral on bass, with nice uppermids / treble db.
TIN HIFI P1 OG. How much treble you want? Yes
Fiio FA7s. Like @o0genesis0o said, I love this iem, the only BA I think is better than this one it's the 12t. Eqd like a CAMPFIRE. FH9 is another FiiO with nice harmonics.
VARIATION. Not special, but u could eq'd to whatever you want. Its the trending tuning with a little more bass than latest THIEAUDIO launchs.
MARGARITA. cheap MEST MK2. Warm, perfection on presentation.
RAPTGO HOOK OG. The planar. The bass.
ISN H40. Musical, trully unique graph. Relaxed on treble.
IVIPQ V12. My best of 2023. The frequency response dont make them justice.
That could be a nice representation of multiple graphs and tuning.
I've got all of them ln my collection (except the acoustune) so feel free to ask.
Juzear 41t or FH5 could be another style of tuning not represented here, with similarities on the bass tuning likethe ADVAR.
LEGATO, BELIEVE, KARA, TEA, NA2...

Yes!ISN NEO 5
Read the reviews in the Head Gear section. THE ISN G4 is a good cable to use with the Neo 5.
I am familiar with Acoustune, but a bit pricey. The Dunu Zen Pro has been appealing to me. I have the Mest 2 so I would avoid Margarita. I have been cautious about Fiio iems. I have the Variations and Juzear. Avoiding a $500 plus purchase like Margarita is what this exercise is all about. Something like the Nanna or Zen Pro seems worthy of investigation, as do Acoustoune, Aroma, Softears, Qdc, or 64 Audio iems. At the moment it feels like something like the U12t is something that feels consistent, reasonable, and high end. Maybe the Monarch 2.Some of my recommendations, not the best, but they are unique on the tuning:

FA7s is an interesting rec, no one talks about this set, it's such an unpopular set that Crin is one of the very few people to have measurements.
Wondering if this sounds like the Tea 2 or is as bloaty as the OG FA7 which I own and probably has the fewest hours of any set I have on hand.
I'd love the FA7s if it sounds like the Tea 2 which is one of my favorite sets at the moment.
I saw Crin's FA7s measurements months ago and it doesn't look good on paper, there's very little ear gain but less mid bass than the OG FA7.

The FA7s is specifically designed for more ear gain than the OG, as per FiiO. It’s pretty good most of the time. In my note, the tech is at least Blessing 2 or above. However, there was one track that sounds incredibly boxy and weird with FA7s so my interest dropped significantly.FA7s is an interesting rec, no one talks about this set, it's such an unpopular set that Crin is one of the very few people to have measurements.

Fun fact: the shells are almost, if not entirely similar to the JD7

Interesting how you compare the FA7s with the B2 Dusk, IEMs tuned with low pinna are often criticized for having poor techs.
The way you described the FA7s reminds me of the Sony IER-M9, one of the few warm IEMs no one ever calls low res or blunted.

Going to the sound, it's a warm neutral, with tons of detail, being relaxed on the treble.
It has a capacity to reveal all textures and give a lot of info over all spectre.
Imaging a ISN or PENON but having the same capacity of reveal of sets more neutral.
Like I said, Its an ANDROMEDA with more bass.
