I'm trying the PR3.
They seem to me to be much more emphasized in the high and mid tones and much brighter than the PR2
(the first batch, the one with the mesh).
I would say they are vocal centric.

I don't want to write nonsense
(because I don't understand much of it),
but they seem to provide a good sensation of soundstage, at least in width.

From the point of view of required power,
they are a little lighter than the PR2
(look at the difference in volume to get more or less the same sensation of perceived volume).

It would be interesting to have the opinion of some of the
great reviewers we have here.

I agree with your comments about the soundstage. I have not heard the PR2 so can not say whether the PR3 is brighter but I really like the PR3's treble. Very nice macro shots though!

That's a few people saying the PR3 is bright. Now is it EW200 bright, which is borderline bright due to lack of warmth, or is it Sands bright, which is HOLY CRAP this is bright (as in it needs to be modded) bright?

It's not as bright as the EW200. If you can handle that IEM you can handle PR3.

Akros KZ PR3 review is up

Crazy, so there is a murder treble version of PR3, dumpster tuning version and one that resembles KZ's graphs? Yeowza...

some KZ also seems to be source sensitive,

I remember there is a case with AS16Pro whose third party graph didn't match the official graph.
after some discourse, there is one reviewer whose AS16pro graph resemble the official graph, which at the time was attributed not to QC lottery, but due to he power it from relatively powerful Tri TK2.

later people found out with Impedance adapter, they could get their AS16pro to resemble the official graph.
---
So when there is insistence from KZ that their iem graph match the official graph, there is question what gear they used to get that graph. because alteration in the gear might affect the end result third party FR.

KZ did get better later but yeah...

Akros KZ PR3 review is up

I also got the first version graphed it and went NOPE!

My second set had bad channel imbalance and when I reached out to Tyvan he dismissed me like a little school boy.

So I did my video on that one LOL
QC is a big issue on this set again....

Step right up and test your luck, QC at it's finest!

I will have to live with the disappointment of not having jumped on this bandwagon.:sob:
LMAO he bought 3 PR3s and only 1 was decent.

He tried so hard pumping up the CCA Rhapsody and chiding people who are against KZ, their terrible QC, and their business practices.

When will people stop buying KZ products, making excuses for this POS company and their products? 🤦‍♂️

KBEAR FLASH

Looks like a hybrid based on their FB posts
10 mm PU+PEEK Composite Diaphragm DD + BA

Might be another flash in the pan, so maybe wait for first reviews before purchase.

Cause sadly, KBEAR has been on a series of flops in recent months.
Their previous releases circa 2021 were well received in the community. However, recent releases since then - Qinglong, Streamer, Pecker, Xuanwu, Ink, Storm, TRI Star River (sister company of KBEAR) were mediocre to downright bad.

KBear had that one short lived legend, the KBear BElieve.
a pure beryllium membrane DD IEM for $150 if i recalled it right.
it seems to have rather short period of production and few people that got it swears by its sound quality.

but yeah, while KZ, TRN, Moondrop, CVJ, Tanchjim, 7hz, Truthear all stepping up their game in production, price, and tuning, it seems KBear got left behind.

Just check the rest. Besides, probably most of this equipment is produced by the same factories anyway.
As always, mass production/interest equals terrible QC, it's a Chifi rule independent of the manufacturer.

Huh? No it's not. There are a lot Chi-fi manufacturers / brands that produce IEMs with good QC.

Majority of Chi-fi have good QC from what I've seen and experienced.

Moondrop, KZ/CCA, Elysian, etc. have had bad QC and bad customer service. Especially KZ.

I'm quite long time around here and I can provide much longer list of bad QC products.
Of course it's sucks anyway.
