I was listening to my Zero Red with the 10ohm adapter and while I love the bass the mids get too dark and there still is not enough treble to bring out female vocals perfectly nor correct string instruments IMO. I was hoping with the addition of some BA the Nova would be a bit brighter on the top end but looking at the graph it doesn't seem so?
That is pretty much spot on what the nova is. I think it's more refined than the Red with a better fit. But not the greatest iem ever.

Not sure if this belongs here but I just received my order of Dunu S&S ear tips. They sealed my short nozzle shallow insertion IEMs where no others in my collection would. Until the Dunus, these problem child IEMs required constant fiddling which was annoying. They are super pliable, in the shape of foams and seal just the same without the foam drawbacks. What a lifesaver in keeping these IEMs in play. Now they just disappear. Righteous!

Looking at the Juzear Clears. I think you said, Carpet, you received a pair and your first impressions were favorable. What say youse now? I have a hunch these are sleepers. I also really like the 4.4mm option. I wish that was always the case.

They are really good for the price. Bassy but with clarity and great tonality. Prefer these to the Tinhifi t3+, Kiwi Ears Cadenza, SuperTFZ Force1 and Blon BL300. Especially nice on a good copper cable, or one that boosts mids (like the NiceHCK BlackCat). Not for those who want something delicate and neutral.

Have you by chance heard the QKZ x HBB Khan to compare to the Juzear?

Yep, I have that too. Not at all a fan. The tonality was oddly thin for a 2DD, and it felt very much inferior to HBB’s Mele. I’d not recommend them.
I actually have the Khan right now and they sound pretty good to me lol. Definitely bass boosted but not overdone. Easy set to listen to for me without fatigue.

This is why multiple opinions are so important! I’m going to dig mine out and give them another chance.

Edit: Using the same tips, cable, source and tracks. The Khan is better than I remembered, but I still rank it well below the Juzear Clear.

With a decent amount of power, the bass on the Khan is pretty good and the vocals are not bad. Layering is above average, but other technicalities are still nothing special. The timbre is ok.

Side by side, the Clear outputs more volume and does not sound weak with less power. The tuning isn’t very different, still emphasised bass, but the treble is much better done on the Clear. Richer, a more effective anti-sibilance dip, and more cohesion between highs and lows. Most importantly (to me), I much prefer the timbre on the Clear.

The Khan wins on layering, but everything else goes to the Clear. Especially at low volumes.

The Khan isn’t bad, just not up to the Clear in my estimation. Also I’m no expert, just a guy with some IEMs and opinions.

As anyone seen this? (it even has a review video on youtube in japanese - the link is on the items page)...but based on what it is described on the video, it does not comply with the asking price on the alix store, as it implies it is cheap: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006049458830.html
That seller is a snake. Juzear Flame vs 41t level mark up , And also responsible for the Shimin Li DD swaparoo. Can't be trusted nor should you give him any money.

Excellent review of the ISN EST50, I’ve been trying to find more impressions of that set lately and it’s rough! Are those still your thoughts?

"You see the treble here is really lacking. The extension is almost nonexistent, and these are pretty severely rolled in the upper frequencies- coming across as very relaxed to the ear. From a positive stance, I can listen to any song with these, and there is never any harshness, sibilance, or aggressivity, but this is also to the detriment of realism."

"To summarize, this is a relaxed set for the treble and midrange forward adverse. Its pleasant, with good bass, but mellowed and lacking in both brilliance and sparkle. There’s never any risk of harshness, sibilance, or aggressivity, even on tracks where there is some of this naturally occurring in the recording."

A few quotes from the review that might give an answer to the question you posed.

That was a good review the most honest one so far thank for sharing. Sounds like if you already own a Zero Red , not worth the $150 USD $200+ CDN for a slightly improved version. I don't think I will be picking one up for review. There are 40 - 50 new sets ready to be released before the end of the year time to really narrow down my pics and hopefully find some real gems.
