Way to much, I am having a big cleanse soon. Also to get rid of most models I have from one brand, both from writing about.
Also started to say no cheaper sets being offered, its insanity how many cheap models coming out.

This is what happens when an audiophile dad who watches lots of audio review rankings that use "S" Tier grades.




BTW how did this "S" tier business come about? "A" to "F" grades are kind self explanatory, but something probably superceded a previously grade "A" IEM to warrant throwing the "S" grade out? But what happens when something supercedes this "S" tier ranked IEM next time? Would it be better to go back and rerank IEM grades so as to fit them in a "A" to "F" system (with "+" and "-" inside the grading too?)

My 1st time seeing it was playing Advance Wars c. 2004. It completely threw me off because it doesn't follow any sort of convention at all.

One Reddit comment cites Monster Rancher doing that as early as 1997.

And maybe a British could confirm this but the Japanese may have drawn inspiration from the most difficult exams in Oxford University over half a century ago. Apparently called the Special Paper. So I guess S stands for Special.

Well...the BASN ASONE arrived about 16 hours after I ordered from Amazon-----needs a good 150 hours burn in as recommended---but after 4---it already sounds REALLY good! This is pretty interesting actually. Also, I'm a big Advance Wars fan. There's a remake of 1 and 2 on the Switch! Perfect game to play while you listen to tunes.

$125 is a good price, but it needs amplification (due to low sensitivity). If not driven well, it sounds meh.

The Kara is a warm midcentric IEM, very musical with good timbre, smooth and non-fatiguing, though not the most resolving or for trebleheads. Musicality over technicalities. Good set to relax to. I was using the Kara today for 2 hours over lunch and fell asleep while listening to some jazz haha. Woke up and realized oh 2 hours just flew by!

If its something near on the treble to the EST112, with more midbass... I think im gonna love it.

What about voices, are they the stars of the show?

The FiiO Q7 (and soon the q15 akm lovers edition) has plenty of power to move any iem. (The counterpart is the output impedance of the q7)
