Hello everyone, I haven't read any reviews of the EPZ K5 yet, which I find very nice in green. There is only a recent and positive one from Akros, which associates it for sound characteristics with Sound Rhyme SR5. He finds the K5 even better, which is quite a statement considering the huge hype in SR5 thread. I can't wait to receive my unit, although I won't be able to compare it to the SR5.

Did you try them? Very curious about them…

I haven’t, unfortunately. Since I repeatedly fail the lossless ABX test, I kinda stop paying attention to source files

You could have provided me with independent verification.

From my DELL PC with ROOM I can't get smooth play.

From iPhone it works perfectly.

Technically speaking you may expect a slight change from KZ ZNA, as KZ is constantly developing their DD implementation into hybrids.

They used strong words solely for marketing purpose, if they are shameless, it’s “free” to call it whatever possible to get the public attention, especially in midst of this red ocean, if you don’t get any spotlights at its debut, the chances to survive is fairly faint.

As KZ is facing tough competition, it’s their poker bet, with probably a pair of 9s.

21eur iem can sound better for 1000eur iems?

Turn out, there's firmware for Tanchjim Space:
- seems to have better spatial
- leaner mid
- better bass control, better bass detail
- tiny boost in lower treble
- even more micro detail boost !!
- slightly sibilant
Also with stock i found it unusable with my diy amp, now it's alright

i have M7,like more neutral bright sound. what is better shanling MG800 vs ME900 to get. i have meze rai penta iems ,very musically,but still for my ears lacks highs.

If you order them and don’t change your mind days later it is a non issue.

My understanding is the charges are from Pay Pal for cancellation of the transaction not from AuR Audio. I found them very good to deal with.

Heads up for anyone considering an Aur iem. I just canceled my Aurora order for taking too long and they charged me 8% in PayPal fees. The IEM wasn't even ever built. I've never had that happen before with the 50+ IEMs ice purchased. So, y'know, make sure you really want them before you buy and expect at least 2+ months to get it.

How long after ordering did you cancel the order ?

You actually said it yourself, they were Pay Pal fees from your cancelled transaction that AuR passed onto you, they were not fees from AuR.

Why should AuR absorb the cost of you changing your mind, your inability to wait isn’t their problem !

When you said it has never happened to you before in 50+ IEM purchased, how many of the 50 did you cancel your order on, it would not have happened with AuR if you followed through with your order.

As W2 is one of breathtaking best dongle for the analytical listening, I may pay attention to W4 in case they do any discounts in the future Oh yes the idle battery drain is real…

I heard W4 is designed better fitting to run on iphone class BUS-power source, but maybe as you mentioned single-end may need some extra amp
My dongle external powering kit is arriving soon, I will see if that will improve any power concerns.

The ultimate goal is to fit dongle/battery/interconnects into a small carrying pouch attached, and still leave an opportunity to let iPhone wirelessly charging.

That shall solve the portability, battery & amping concern.

Here is my new toy and daily driver:

I can do critical listening on this utws5 whilst having better portability than any dongle or bluetooth dac/amp I have in my collection. Now I just need a TOTL DAP for stationary listening and I’m done.
Well, not done done, maybe I need a new portable amp as well

Highly recommend Technics AZ60 (the old flagship): Amazon USA’s Panasonic Official sometime does great discount, I got new AZ60 at $85, and now it’s back to $150. Original MRSP was much much higher. Driver is flagship class = if a wired B+ class.

This AZ60‘s is deep insertions type, if your ear canal fits, the deep insertion + industry leading ANC does a magic, almost par with Bose QC Earbuds 2 that goes for $300.

For TWS with ANC and high-techs, Sennheiser’s Momentum 3 is my current best pick, along with XM4.

For non-fatiguing long term listening, FIIL CC Pro2 has better SQ than AirPodsPro with very neutral stock tuning.
