Outstanding work, mate! Are you reading my mind? Couldn’t explain better. I need to save this for future reference. Some comments in no particular order:
  • The reference bass is yummy
  • The FH9 is an oddball due to its driver configuration. It’s tuned like old-school midbass IEM, but it slams.
  • Driver configuration plays an important role here. The Andromeda 2020 gets away with the thick 250Hz partially because of the “BA timbre”, making notes cut through the thick “fog” of the lower frequencies.
  • You are spot on about the oddball tuning of 64 audio. They always boost mid-midrange and dip 1kHz. When done just right, the sense of space of the stage gets a boost. Overdone (Tia Fourte) and the sound would get weird.

You should do another post about the ear gain

Thanks mate, of course you can save and use it when needed.

And about "thin" or "thick bodied" mids, like you said in previous post, I also couldn't agree more, You're excactly correct the thick mids isn't perceived only from uplifted upper bass - lower mids, but more about the proportion gap between lower mids and upper mids.
If the pinna gain is lower, like about +5db from neutral point, then a flat upper bass and lower mids already enough to make the vocal bodied and thick. When the pinna gain is more than 10db increment, flat lower mids will make vocals and mids sounded thin because of too much gap between lower mids and high mids.
It's about balance proportion.

I have driven this car man nothing special. Mercedes AMG-One is better. Forza Horizon 5 really let you live your dreams :p
Yes! I love AMG-One too! Too bad that’s beyond my financial capabilities and it’s never gonna be a commuting vehicle.
Audiosense AQ4 was selling for around $100 around 11/11, Xmas and New Year. So Summer sale on AE is in a bit over a month, where it might come up again. Very good choice if you want warm bassy hybrid that doesn't muddy up the mids. Tipsy TTROMSO and SR1 look decent options too if you want single DD. :L3000:
Sorry mate!

During AE anniversary sale, I snatched AQ4 @$79😇

Anniversary sale is a best time to hurt our wallet💸

Wow!
A dongle at $450+ now i have almost seen everything. :D
Per Japanese CanJam attendee comment:

”W4 Surely sounds a bit better from W2, but hard to justify the price tag”

Before the Tangzu PRINCESS CHANG LE release, has anyone reviewed the NiceHCK X39?
I did.

X39 has white / black model with different tuning.

I’ve got black and pretty much enjoying it’s V-shape tuning.

Technicality isn’t bad as a bullet and for the price, it’s recommendable one.

Two pins, just QDC-like appearance:

It is still sold in Tempotec Official store in AE (no affiliation with them; only good experience).
Only 2.5 mm, only these 2 pins; quite simple; if you like earguides - it can work well.
Yeah unfortunately only 2,5 mm so I'd need to use an adapter. Also no shipping to m****ing Ger. :)

In my old business the saying was, the harder you work, the luckier you get! I just remembered (again) how to say it.t
The harder you work, the more years you shave off your life. Better enjoy that "luck" while you breath?

Got my order for the Kiwi Ears Quartets in (had to snag a matching cable as well) I was lurking for a set with BAs on the cheaper side to hear how hybrid sets sound. I was about to pull the trigger on the Hexa but I have enough purely neutral-ish IEMs at this point in the low price range that I needed to branch out to something tuned a little differently. Hopefully my preorder puts my order early in the shipping window. :fingerscrossed:

My review of the 7HZ Legato is up on heafi here: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/7hz-legato.26411/reviews#review-30776
Since i'm very sensitive to mids timbre, tone and bodied presence....it wasn't a big love affair for me with the Legato, but at least the bass and soundstage are legit BIG enh!

Pros:
-Big soundstage
-Big bass
-clear enough mids
-holographic musicality
-decent technicalities for a basshead IEM
-decent balance for a basshead IEM
Cons:
-thin bright uneven mids
-harsh slightly metallic timbre
-not for acoustic instrument
-recessed mids
-lack of proper bass roundness-definition
-lack of treble sparkle-brilliance and snap
-not a versatile basshead tuning
-don't excell with any music genre even rap, electronic or beat driven music
-not musical to my ears (subjective)
-big housing with short nozzle=not comfortable
