Holy.. I was like a month away from this thread due lot of things and I missed 136 pages. Since this thread is like a home to me, I will catch it up slowly especially for flavors of the month (already read a spoiler for KZ PR2 on KZ thread).

SeeAudio X Zeos Rinko is getting some backlash due to their driver apparently not being a "micro planar driver", as claimed in the marketing materials.

HBB opened them up only to find no signs of a planar driver. It's a very cheap piezo film instead.

Guess people are mostly paying for the sleazy artwork here, but this misleading and false marketing by Chi-Fi brands must stop. TangZu is a serial offender, and now SeeAudio has joined in too.

Seeaudio is not a brand I'd call cheap by any means.

They have kilobuck models in their catalog, albeit not many people own the Neo or Kaguya.

The false driver drama is something I'd expect from budget brands like KZ and Tangzu, not Seeaudio.

Now I wouldn't be surprised if Seeaudio used Bellsing BAs on their BA models instead of Knowles / Sonion.

wait, is planar on tangzu (supposed to be the zetian wu and zetian wu heyday) is a fake planar too??

No, the question was whether the driver in the Seeaudio/Tangzu Shimen Li Encounter was different to the one in the Wan'er. Nothing to do with The Tangzu planars. :L3000:

Are you just balling out of control or does the seller not know the different between commas and full stops when it comes to denoting numbers?
This is just a placeholder price for an yet-to-be-released product. Will be adjusted to more "normal" pricing once the product is in stock and ready to ship.

I used Clarion tips, I now switched to wide-bore stocks - even more distinctive treble that totally dominates. So the seal with the arion is there; deeper insertion is scary/hurtful for my fairly narrow ear channels.

I have so many all-,BAs that sound so more bassy than Hexa: T800, AST, ASX, AS12, AS16 pro, etc.
Also not that much present deep bass with my Hexa based on my organ reference music (OK, but nothing special).

My Hexa is the "second batch", after it was sold out and placed on the backorder, if it matters.

Prominent treble and lacking bass would be the epitome of a brighter signature.
Where did I made an impression that Hexa is "dark"?
BL-03 is definitely warmer due to its midbass, and can be enjoyed for hours :)
Sounds like you don't like the HEXA? I'm EQing both HEXA and Variations and the DD of HEXA feels more impactful. Both should have a similar LCP DD, but the positions inside the shell are not the same. The DD of HEXA is almost near the nozzle opening.

As for the sound. I should be crazy if I compare them to Tanchjim 02s! Do they sound like the 02s? Surprisngly close!
You get a balanced tuning that emphasizes on a 3D space.
Bass can go below or above my target depending on eartips. So I am not sure if it can pass as a basshead set.
Mids are natural sounding. But can be shouty around 5k on higher volumes.
Treble is well executed and doesn't seem to have the old KZ peaks.
The separation and layering really reminded me of the 02s, Hana2021, and Olinas. I must be crazy

Practiphile can be too exited about something, but apparently its a budget Olina or budget-budget O2

@AmericanSpirit How do you like LittleWhite so far? Is it yay or nay?
It’s god-like tool for me now.

Definitely best buy of 2023 so far.

high SQ, PEQ, and fashionable showcasing of your favorite IEMs😆✨

You can also fold it to store in the storage box of B3.

Haha, I’ll stop hyping there, I’ve been already label by Japanese community “watching this guy’s post will hurt your wallet” 😄

But anyway, it’s highly recommendable neckband BT receiver, my only nitpick is the noise floor for extremely sensitive IEMs such as SR8 (4.5ohms&119db), for B3 class it’s totally fine (only slight white noise floor if you are not playing music, only hardcore audiophiles would care of this level of white noise floor)

Ok
Out of coincidence I noticed this

Moondrop Chu, LAN, Jiu are all associated with Chinese “Four Sage” 四君子( Si Junzi) yes JUZEAR’s JUNZI. Four Junzi.

There is elegance that is the subject of oriental painting called "Four Sage", and plants and flowers that are considered to be noble

Bamboo 竹 | Moondrop Chu

Plum 梅 | Moondrop Mei?

Chrysanthemum 菊 | Moondrop Jiu

Orchid 蘭 | Moondrop LAN

Because it's read in Chinese

My bet on next line up will be Moondrop Mei and Moondrop shall call it done.

Any guess what Mei will be ?

My bet is LAN’s DSP.

I feel that mid-bass presence and warmth is often used in describing musicality, it gives richer overtone feeling thus deeper reaching to listener’s emotional spot.
And for me this is the BIG MISTAKE! Mid bass presence is referred only to a certain frequency response it shouldn't be called musicality and who use musicality in this sense shouldn't review anything otherwise he'd create confusion.

well, based on the nature of review —a communication vehicle of exchanging one’s perception to other— as far as there are certain group of people feeling the same way that mid-bass presence is directly impacting their sense of musicality, I guess as as a nature of democratic community, mid-bass = musicality expression may be continued to be referred as one of terminologies.

It all matters to the number of who uses the terminology IMO.

I’d prefer leave it expressing both ways
mid-bass presence or “musicality”
