The Night Oblivion shop contacted my superbuy agent that ”it’s a custom build, so I need WeChat ID of customer”
I don’t know what happened, but superbuy agent is now asking me to connect with her weChat.
The process is so slow and this now starts feeling I’m doing an procurement desk works
They should have contacted me that they need to communicate with customers in the first place right after I placed the order, not like 2 weeks after that
Anyway, it’s super slow and opaque processes, personal importing takes good amount of your resource which can easily clock hours. Even if the price is bare minimum, you need to account that extra over time which doesn’t happen for modern “1-click” purchase experience.
(except stupid linsoul $1 RC system which requires redundant manual input and unclear instructions)

The sub $30 IEMs of today are probably the $100 USD IEMs of just a few years back. Maybe MidFI IEMs of today can arguably give TOTL sound of a few years back too.
That's how fast the industry is evolving.
Which is not a bad thing in my view. There's a lower bar for folks to join this IEM hobby, instead of needing to sell a kidney just to get a small piece of audio nirvana.
I remember sourcing for IEMs about 15 years ago for stage monitoring. The big fish then were Shure and Westones. Damn, I either had to sell an existing IEM just to get a different flavoured IEM, or a same IEM followed me for half a decade before I could cough up funds for a newer model.
And tis a joke that the Shure SE215 which I was using around 12 or 13 years ago is still being sold today at similar pricing. Back then it was muddy and veiled and it can't hold a candle to most budget CHIFI today.
Nowadays, the problem seems to be that we have too much choice, and multiple sidegrades are spammed every week, so consumers are confused on what to get. Many sidegrades to sieve through to get that one gem. But it is a great time to be in this hobby the past few years for sure!
I've seen two seperate photos that are supposedly by Tyvan, one states that it's a PR1 Pro Retune another states that it's a PR1 retune, so honestly I'm not sure which it is. I suspect it's the PR1 Pro though, the magnet classification on the PR2 is the same as those on the PR1 Pros, not the OG PR1(N52H magnets are on the PR1 Pro and the PR2, while the PR1 has N55's)
"PR2 is retuned PR1 pro with new damper and mild change so graph consistently"
Basically KZ rep Tyvan statement on PR2
It nees to be noted PR1 pro (and pr2) both are technically second gen KZ planar. Pla13 (and pr1 hifi+balanced of i recalled it right) is the first gen.
Cadenza is right up there with my favorite budget IEMs. If only they had a touch more air and treble extension, they'd be Kings of the budget realm IMHO.
It took nearly 4 months for me to receive my "custom build" Aures (ordered them in January), so I'm sure the wait for you and @AmericanSpirit will be worth it? When I ordered the Aure's, my mom was still alive and wasn't even in the hospital. I had the money then. What a difference 4 months makes in your life? Hope the wait is just as rewarding at the end for both of you?

Sounds like you don't like the HEXA? I'm EQing both HEXA and Variations and the DD of HEXA feels more impactful. Both should have a similar LCP DD, but the positions inside the shell are not the same. The DD of HEXA is almost near the nozzle opening.
A lot is about the difference with the expectations.
I ordered Hexa (my first order failed) and Hola together (the latter just out of curiousity).
Hola came first and much earlier. I really liked it somehow. Other than tge treble resolution - amazing for under $20.
Hexa is dry, very dry to my ears. If listening to resolving upper mids and treble - then amazing. But not enough bass impact/engagement to my ears even to bring cellos in string quartets (where simple BA bass works nicely). Also it is dry, but still DD not BA bass to my ears (with some tubiness even with this dry signature).
As mentioned, I used "updated" Shio first, which with its emphasis on sub-bass and the last octave happened really awful match.
Better with E44 - still bright and dry.
Then warmer BHD brought some sense, and with even warmer Sonata III made it better, almost OK to listen to string quartets.
Absolutely, the close effect should be achievable by equalizing.
I just like playing with DACs, as some with cables

There is a very good chance that Google translate is unavailable in certain countries. Pretty dangerous software if you're trying to restrict access to information!
Cadenza hits good spot of Macro lover, and I think Cadenza hits well to metal genre too, the driver spec is just slightly above average though, no magic there.
