I don't need the KZ Pr2. I got the original TangZu Wu Zetian, and this thing is...as Akros would call it...A BEAST!! It's the best Planar IEM, and I've tried and owned three different planars, and they simply kick azz! Why waste $40?

Pecker? Are they competing with the Ling long?

No offence, but measurebators will eat their pecker if this Pecker IEM sells better than the Ling Long. Unless manufacturers combine the best of these 2 IEMs and give us a massively Ling Long Pecker?

But jokes aside, look at that gigantic 8 kHz!? I mean graphs don't tell the full story, but they generally give a reasonable gauge of tonality. Even after deducting for the coupler peak, that 8 kHz is surely gonna be painful unless the listener has iron ear drums?

thanks!

Actually I found $29 deal for PR2.. so I cancelled $45 order from KZ Official.

It’s from KZ GLOBAL store, the same old one I’ve been using.

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mP50dBI

$15 off from $44 to $29 😍

Mine worked and another one on twitter confirmed it worked for him too.
Dear diary,

I was waiting and hoping there is an early impression on KZ PR2 within the first week early bird sales. So i could got at least an idea on how much it improve before buying this retuned PR1 Pro.

But American Spirit poison my thought with double discount ($31 + $2 local handling cost later) from different shop...

It seems, mostly the same Planar Driver, new tuning, new damper and mild additional update so it could be graphed more consistently

I forgot Ikko existed, they are only known for the OH10 released around 4 years ago.

Every other set they've released so far has been met with mixed to negative reception.

Non discovery cable talk!

Right timing about this cable “doesn’t change sound”

Please join this thread for discussion ✌️
An interesting session is going on😆
An Japanese blogger who is renown for very high quality recording signature (i.e using recording equipment and high end dummny head to record actual sound product of audio gadget for the cross reference purpose) is conducting an interesting experiment.

He recorded TRN MT1 MAX (yea the entry level single DD) with different cables, and asking which recording is closest to the stock cable recording.

Here is the URL (english auto translated)

It’s extremely hard, and I got confused myself while testing.

He is also setting a poll session, that will be fun to see which one is the closest to stock cable😄

Whether you get it right or wrong, I found this session is very interesting and would like to see everyone’s reactions on it.

Ikko mostly peak with OH10.
its still considered to be a very good IEM (especially after ikko slash their price last year)

but then it went into somewhat mumbo jumbo territory with OH5 "perfect tune" Lithium membrane, to OH300 "photocromic glass" that protect internal circuit from harmful UV rays, to that "ultra 8K" display on whatever dock above.

I missed the preorder but very interested. Looks solid.
well, i was waiting for early impression and more availability in my region before buying it
it suppose to be the-hyped-BlonBl03's successor and i haven't touch Bl03 or any of its siblings. So curiosity is there

but yeah, PR2 discount ate that iem buying slot

May I please take the liberty of asking you informed folks here, about a suggestion for iems below $300 that would be best suited for ambient, atmospheric, space music etc.

If you are a treblehead and don't mind something very technical though thinner in note weight, check out the Geek Wold GK100 ($200 USD).

See Audio Yume 2 is not bad too (this is version 2, not the OG one). More balanced, decent technical chops.

Sennheiser IE300 or Sound Rhyme SR5. Excellent imaging and stage on both, plus amazing bass, and enough treble + note weight to capture the mood and lushness of ambient/atmospheric music. IE300 will fit better and be more comfy. I'd even throw the AKG N5005 as well for it's fantastic imaging and stage and dynamics.
