Unfortunately my kidneys are crap, so I have to weigh up how long I'll get to listen to any kilo-buck IEM if I sell one... Nah, pass.

It’s this sort of browbeating that gives science a bad name.

Does anybody remember when this was the Discovery thread? Discussion about newly introduced products rather than relateive differences between different DAP's and cables? I guess I can see why this thread is getting so many posts--it has become the "post anything" thread.

Probably gonna get a ton of flak for this. But the best you can do in this situation is to just carry on. Quietly report and/or ignore if you must. It's no use crying over spilled milk.

... Anyway. Does anyone own the Ling Long? Been suggested the D-Fi for a bass boosted Etymotic but from a purely graph standpoint D-Fi looks like bass boosted DF rather than bass boosted Etymotic.

And before anyone tells me that DF and Etymotic are the same thing.

I think these two would digress.

Edit: I'm sure I also got VERY polarizing opinions such as Tripowin Zonie and stock cable sound EXACTLY the same to me on the BL-03 until the stock cable yanks them out of my ears and just sounds a lot worse because of horrible fit. But I'll just speak my mind and leave it at that. If you either agree or disagree I already made my point regardless either way. Can't speak about sources but if I could those would be VERY polarizing as well.

Seems there is a new KBEAR coming out. Called the KBEAR PECKER.

Damn, looks like a giant woodpecker beak at 8 khz, even though that is a coupler peak (deduct about 3 dB to give the real dB at that area).

I got the Ling Long and I love it. I've never loved ling long so much in my life. If i could have ling long all day I would! Wait...ummm...Yeah the KZ Ling long is a fantastic IEM with very fast and controlled bass/sub bass, but thin mid bass.

Looks like typical KBear to me, bloated bass, gain peak at 4k, and a nice treble spike to balance things out.
