The NiceHCK Black Cat is a stupendously gorgeous cable that also has a synergy with the TangZu Wu Zetian that's bringing a tear to my ears and a smile to my eyes. BRILLIANT!!

Of course it belongs in the Discovery page. It's actually been featured a few times, most loudly by @Ace Bee , who brought it to the attention of many.

The NiceHCK Black Cat is actually superior to the NiceHCK BlackSoul. Had I known, I would have pulled the trigger on two Black Cats while they were on sale.

Finding synergy is so important to optimizing your listening experience. It sometimes takes rolling and rolling and rolling and just chance combos.

Sound Rhyme SR5 + KBear Hazy cable + Moondrop Spring tips + Sony A306 = Close to ENDGAME sound. Now I'm sure the IE600 will get closer to my personal endgame /TOTL set up, but in the interim, the SR5 and Orchestra Lite do a fantastic job of back n forth with the title. The Wu Zetian with that Black Cat cable is sneaking up behind those two rather quickly. Can't wait to get my Aur Audio Aure's in next month and slap that Dunu cable on it and see where they place?

I'm a fan of the blackcat, ordered my 4th one recently.
Received blacksoul and hazy this week, but haven't really spent anytime with them yet to form an opinion.

These look interesting, 6BA with 3 Dip switches and steel nozzle. I really dislike iems that don't have a steel/mesh nozzle. Looks like only available in Japan though.
*edit* and each switch is for each of the frequencies, High, Mid, and Low. You can click picture for store page with more info.

It sure is a bad ass cable. I'll get another when they put it back on sale.

I've just ordered a Blackcat cable 4.4 mm, 2 pin. The prices on Ali are variable. Some say £70, others about £24 including tax. Are there clones or are there cheap bargains?

Should be able to get it for cheaper than that.
Look out for coupons.
I usually buy from either of the 2 NiceHCK stores. Think one is called audio store and the other official store

Not quite sure what cramped mids are. Male vocals are good to my ears with enough space but they are not 'holgraphic'. Low-mids are fine to my ears, but I have many moons behind my ears. Bass lines are great. I've only listened on my iFi Bluetooth dongle so far, I'll use my Shanling DAP later which has a lot more 'air' than the iFi Go Blu. I'll also put on my go to Spiral Dot tips. I felt the upper mid female vocal was a little 'hot' but I was listening at a silly volume. At a normal volume Christine Perfect's voice has toned down. What I can say for sure is that these have a real bass kick and will suit many genres. I wouldn't listen to Sibelius on them. They are definitely a specialized IEM and mimic live music concerts.
Although I would not in general listen to classical music through these, listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture, Morton Gould Stereo Spectacular version, is quite something through these, not through detail, but purely through bass involvement and it's general emotional presentation, particularly as the finale starts to arrive.

Cables make a difference. Period.
Of course, they do!
After all, many IEMs simply do not work without cables! Cables unite IEMs and sources, bringing them together in a perfect sonic unison. Also not to forget is the fit, aesthetics and resistance (when it is not futile).

Actually, I did not emphasize that my recent enjoyment of a simple Hola was with one of the recent nice blue cloth/fabric cable:
20230331_065136.jpg

I have not even tried to "roll" the cables there: some cables and IEMs just become unseparable, like Romeo and Juliette of the audiophile heaven, if to being poetry to cables.

Also contempmating hard about cables and their magic, especially of the blue ones (just a representative sampling to evoke some palette):
20230331_065616.jpg

The blue of the cables are in perfect harmony with the electron colours (electrones and the negative poles are propely labelled blue). Nurtured by these harmonic colours, electrons then bring all the sonic qualities and quantities for the perfect music reproduction and ultimate enjoyment.
Then logically, reddish copper slows the electron flow and dampen the fastest modulations - that is the treble and some upper mids, and by slowing electrons in the cable, it also firmly solidify the base that many audiophiles thoroughly enjoy.

In the context of this cable exploration and more, some questions on the recent cable claims are definitely duly due.
