TRN T is my favourite on Neon Pro, as you say they seal more easily. While large are closer to m/l. But since they are a little sticky it works anyways 👍 they give a tight bass response and nice open soundstage.
TRN T-Ear tips and H570 has equally sticky silicone, if you like T-Ear tip with tight bass response and open sound stage, H570 will further open soundstage and keep tight bass while still get the dead bottom sub-sub-bass, if you haven’t tried yet😉 H570 matches 70% of IEMs I’ve tried to pair, that’s like 120 IEMs that have great match with H570, and Neon Pro has good synergy too👍

It’s unlikely I will review that unit, so living vicariously through you :dt880smile:
I bought @Burnt Luck's SR5, and like the cool dude he is, he shipped it this morning, so it'll be here during my days off, so I'll be putting it through the ringer, and comparing it to the Orchestra Lite, N5005, Shangri-La, IE800, and eventually, the Aur Audio Aure. We'll see if it has any sizzle or shimmery peaks, because if it doesn't....grrrr.

Summery:

The SIMGOT EA500 is a single 10mm dynamic driver with exceptional treble response into the stage, though it may be too intense for some. Replacing the included silver plated copper cable with a pure copper cable seemed to align the FR to my liking. Such Harmanish (red rubber ring nozzle) offers a total (complete) sound consisting of more mid-bass than sub-bass. Still the bass that’s there is fully robust and satisfying. As such the (black rubber ring) SIMGOT tune offered an even brighter event, which may be even farther from you desires depending on who you are. This is very much a vocal competent tune, along with real (treble) itemizations into objects found imaged well into the stage, transcending the old ideas of single full-range DDs lackluster tone. Maybe a breakthrough product for SIMGOT, offering great contrasts and bouncy rhythms in which note-weight prevails on all fronts?

Sound Summery:
Giant staging, fast imaging and size? What yep, the pure size of it all…….that is what brings reality in playback. That and correct timbre. A correct FR (with a copper cable) a natural bass, yet deep and fast, clarity into which both the midrange and treble bask in. Clear, correct (somewhat even) and bouncy……it’s the bounce why you get these! While not really putting out the sub-bass, the bass that’s there is so well orchestrated and paced, you are in! In like Flynn! Just buy these, as they are market disrupting at a buck under $80.00. You won’t be sorry, unless you’re sensitive to treble, then maybe there would be some concern?

Disclaimer:
I want to thank SIMGOT for the love and the EA500 review sample.

Disclaimer:
These are one persons ideas and concepts, your results may vary.

The Positives:

1) Single full-range dynamic driver, though almost sounds like BA+DD Hybrid.

2) Included two tuning nozzles, one red rubber ring, and one black rubber ring. The 5.5 kHz is accented by 3dB by the black rubber ring nozzle.

3) Tuning red rubber ring is Harman (like) Tuning. Tuning black rubber ring reminiscent of SIMGOT EN1000 and EA2000 past IEMs.

4) Fourth generation Diamond Like Carbon 10mm driver Composite Diaphragm.

5) Impressive N52 magnet.

6) Silver plated OFC cable 0.78 2Pin.

7) CNC solid metal shells, at 10 grams a piece.

8) Nice included set of silicone ear-tips X 3 sets with fully functional shape and design (for me anyways).

9) Zippered carrying case.

10) Note weight in droves.

11) Fancy natural timbre across the board.

12) 2.7kHz pinna gain peak makes these vocal specific with both lower and upper spice.

13) May need an OCC pure copper cable to actualize the full-on experience?

The Negatives:

1) Slightly forced and uneven treble experience, yet (almost) fully remedied either with an aftermarket cable and/or different ear-tips.

Someone mentioned the UM 3DT...every single unit in the classifieds has sold. There are no available for sale there. Cheapest is $359 and it's $399 thru Linsoul.

From the graph, SR5 has big dip in 5-6kHz, and its ear-gain is less than 10dB, so it's likely not shouty and not "trebly" either, thus, other options might have "much more energy"

At the same time, all energy pushing into 8kHz after a big dip around 6kHz might lead to nasty treble glares if the musical note hits just right, thus "violent." Or, it can be "sparkly", just like the old Andromeda with treble peaks.

If the graph is true, then it is what i called "valley of trap" when manufacturers want to avoid intense treble by cut 5-7khz region with that valley, but tuned so much fall into trap where the 6khz area is dipped too much.

This will be sounded "fine" to most people but critical listener especially person with detailed treble experiences will notice something missing or sounded distant.

Same case with mofasest trio that I bring back on topic few pages back.

Ideally they would need dips and peaks with 5khz dip, 6khz little peaks and 7khz intense dip then boost on exact 8khz for air and soundstage.

6khz should be around +4-6db from neutral point depends on how sensitive person to the lower treble.

While 8khz boost also have benefits with air and upper treble details, trail of cymbals, hihats, too much boost will lead this to soft tizziness, soft sssssssshh...
At the end of the trails.

Over the past few months, you have seen FiiO K7 as the reference DAC/amp to review other IEMs and earphones. It is finally time for the K7 to get on my review table for dissection.

Let’s discuss FiiO K7 and whether an IEM listener should / should not get a desktop DAC/amp such as K7. My review is available on Head-Fi as well as my review blog.

Should you get a K7 if you only listen to IEMs? It depends on whether you have a desk setup at home or office. If you have a fixed spot where you sit down and work on your computer daily, a desktop DAC/amp like K7 is a good addition. The sound quality improvement, however slim, is there. The key benefits are quality-of-life improvements such as the volume knob, the wide adjustment range for sensitive IEMs, and flexibility. And the most important of all is the peace of mind, the freedom from the nagging thought, “am I bottlenecking my IEMs with these dingy dongles?” It’s hard to bottleneck your IEMs when you drive them with a beefy desktop device. Recommendation without reservation.

Pros:

  • Volume knob!
  • A lot of volume adjustment range for sensitive IEMs
  • Extract the most sound quality out of your IEMs
  • Versatility
  • Assuring build quality
  • Price
Cons:
  • Hiss on high-gain with ultra-sensitive IEMs

Yes, objectivist like Crin would not like this type of colorations for sure. But also it’s worth a try, many find it’s better idea.

I'm enjoying the SR5 more than my blessing 2 dusk. presently surprised by this IEM after trying to many, granted many I only had for a few days and listened for on average sub 20 hours (dunu titan s, dunu kima, ap5, b2d). thanks for the rec!

SR5 doesn’t have a pinna gain suppression, it’s more of Softears RS10 peak and dip I guess.

I'm looking forward to compare these against the ancient Final Audio E5000. If it can achieve the big bass sound without the insane source requirement of E5000, it's a big win for me.

Speaking of E5000, I'm now convinced that if you haven't listened to these on high gain with desktop amp, you haven't listened to them at all. But at the end of the day, it's Final Audio's fault for designing an IEM so insensitive that you need desktop headphone amp to run properly.

I auditioned the 7Hz Legato today at Can Jam.

The Legato is way easier to drive for sure. It is L shaped, huge bass that rumbles and can rattle the jaw. Non fatiguing. Timbre is decent. Not very technical for a $100 USD set. In view of the copious bass, there is unavoidable mid-bass bleed and some loss of texturing. In a sense, it is definitely one for bassheads, EDM and hip hop lovers will have a field day. But if one is a purist that listens to for example classical, then the excessive bass might be distracting.

E5000 is probably still more refined and has slightly better technicalities, but it is multiples more expensive (diminishing returns), and of course the elephant in the room is that it needs a nuclear reactor to drive LOL.

There are new eartips coming out soon. These eartips have brass material on the opening end. Japanese manufacturers like to use brass as they believe brass have great resonance for instruments, like intime (sora) they also using brass cavity and nozzles.
The umbrella part seems to be silicone.

Interesting eartips to try, but the release date is April 1st, and from company called "Nippon Dicks" wth..
Is this an april mop joke?

This ear tips is an interesting idea. The name sounds like April’s fool!

Someone's getting called to the CEO's office.

"Did you even use Google translate?"

"No."

I like playing their ”gimme chocolate “ track on drums.
