Hmm maybe the rest can chime in, but I have tried some multi driver IEMs with switches, it seems the switch just deactivates certain drivers, or adds/removes resistances in certain areas along the FR.

The selling point of these "tunable" IEMs is that you can get different sound signatures in one IEM, but beware, a number of so-called "tunable" IEMs with switches/nozzles turn out to be gimmicks, where the switches don't do much or the FR is very minimally changed.

But the pinna gain is about 10 dB here with linear bass, it might be shouty.

Basically Ety target right? I'm curious for this exact reason, seems right up my alley. Just that, the only issue is the rolled off upper treble, might be noticeable for me.

The BlackSoul is indeed a fantastic cable. Just got mine in hand last night.

Definitely a rubbery cable so if that’s not your vibe, it won’t work for you. But otherwise, how can you deny that gold flake?!

Anybody has Simgot EA500 and Olina SE to compare?

I have Olina SE and it's a fantastic set, enough bass for my liking and mids/vocals are also to my liking but treble is little bit lacking in detail retrieval.

I wonder if EA500 is harsh/fatiguing for genres like metal and rock as it is little bit elevated in treble region.

Nah…I have both Heart Mirror and Droplet, 180 degree different animals.

FR only tells 50% of how they sound, this is a very good example, they sound chalk and cheese. HeartMirror to the best it could only go grade C, shouty hell, an IEM for treble-insensitive folks.

Just receive those 2 IEMs, the ISN D10 and Penon Fan2.
D10 is warm basshead, vibrant chunky slam with warm mids that are smooth with low pinna gain, no sibilance. A bit dark on top too...no a technical performance champ but very easy to enjoy. Fun, very bassy, natural tone.
Fan2 is very different, more mature crisp neutral with open and transparent mids, this time, its very impressive technical performance wise since imaging is crisp and very well layered, bass seem fast, punchy, well textured but not basshead at all...i was expecting deeper extension with 2DD but their like 30min burn in for now so ill hold off impressions, yet, definition, speed and texture seem very good. Mids are surprising, very clear and detailed, i tend to love sonion BA mids and these are no exception, female vocal presence is foward, clean but smooth and not thin nor ultra thick, just right, and this treble is very balanced, clean and snappy too...anyway...didnt plan share impressions right now just my joy to get those since both aren't bad sounding and complement well each other.

It’s funny you say that - part of the reason why I pretty much immediately pulled the trigger on this cable is that I’ve always wanted the Venom, but I could never and will never justify spending that much on just a cable. This scratches that itch quite well - for $35 USD or so when it’s on sale, it’s probably one of the best cables I currently own.
