You're talking used? New is $217 right now.
Nope that was the price for them new on Amazon yesterday. Prices on Amazon fluctuate quite a bit. Use http://camelcamelcamel.com/ to track prices of items you want.
They actually did drop that low, but only for a very short period - http://camelcamelcamel.com/Technica-ATHESW9A-Portable-Wooden-Headphones/product/B0030O0Q2U
Nope--new ones were $164.89 for a short time (hours?).
I did not order any headphones from them, but I have ordered a buncha knives and they arrived fine (3-4 separate orders). None of the knives have any blood or rust...jk, they were all in the packaging
New deal of the day on ttvj. Sennheiser HD700s and Audioquest Dragonfly decently marked down. Have heard good things about that little DAC, great performer for the size, great for travel.
Has anyone seen any deals on the HE-300's?? And how do they compare to the rest of the competition in the same price range?? I loved the HE-400's and am saving up for the 500 but was very curious how the 300 sounds and at $249 on paper they look like a great deal
Audio Advisor has them on sale for $199:
The 300 is a dynamic can, while the 400 & 500 are orthos.
The Spider E-HEPH-BK01 PowerForce Full Circumaural Headphones - Black are on sale at Newegg for $69.99 shipped:
I know they're orthos, my question has how do they compare against other dynamics in the same price range
The He-300 is not an ortho.
KG your killin me... I know that the 300's aren't Orthos. I was saying I know that the 400 & 500 ARE orthos... Again, my question was how do they compare against other Dynamics in the price range not weather or not they are dynamic or Orthos.
Does anyone here know where I can potentially get a good deal on some HD 800s?
Are there not any HE-300 discussion/comparison threads?? For my money, I'd much rather save a bit more and get the HE-400 over the HE-300 any day of the week.
I heard them once, unfortunately after I heard the HE-400. I think you would be disappointed overall, after having the He-400s
It's very very unlikely. I haven't seen a deal in a long time on these. I think sennheiser is running a tight grip on their pricing. They beefed up marketing and locked the price! Ouch for the audiophile world. For the same price tag, I'd suggest getting the HE-6 and a good speaker amp or the LCD-2 and good headphone amp. I think either combination would beat the HD800.
