Discontinuing the line is "speculation" with a credible source.  I could PM you their info and you could call them yourself if you'd like.  And to clarify - the dealer was told by Denon that they couldn't order more because the D5K and D7K was being discontinued.  While not an official press release from Denon to consumers, it's the next best thing- from Denon to dealers.  
 
Sennheiser dealers were the first source of the HD700 if you will remember.

Yes, I ordered the D5k's on Monday received them yesterday.  Electronics expo is a Head-Fi sponsor and you can go directly to their website and use EXPODEALS for the discount code.

Just make sure you don't go through the RA process....
My replacement D5000s took 4 weeks from time of approval to receipt of replacement...
