The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

The item is at two different places, at two different prices, on Adorama’s website. As someone advised earlier, cut and paste the link from the post into your browser, don’t click on the link. If you do a search on Adorama, you will only get the $899 listing.

I ordered them at $249.99 on Monday, two days ago, and got notice that they will be delivered tomorrow. This is despite the “10 to 14 day” delivey interval quoted in the ad.

Having had the HE-500, the HE-6, and having the HE-1000, I am most eager to see how these perform! I particularly like the flash of orange, only appearing on the Adorama (and Newegg) version, of the HE-560 Version 2.

Other comments on the HE-560 thread indicate that these sound brighter than the original Version 1 HE-560, and are lighter, using plastic rather than metal in some of the construction. There was a time that the Version 2 headband was said to be subject to falling apart, but the Adorama ad says these have the upgraded headband used in the newer Sundara model.

Hope this helps!

Has anyone who ordered the HE-560 Version 2 from the recent Adorama deals received them? If so, do they still have the smaller headband or have they been swapped out for the newer ones?
I just placed my order today, but for what it's worth, I did a live chat earlier. The representative said the headband is the same as the one in the V3 model.

I too had the HE-500 some time ago and sold them. I wasn't fond of their almost too neutral signature. I felt like I had to turn up the volume too much in an attempt to get a realistic bass response. Then it was too loud for me.
Anybody know if the HE-560 is similar to the HE-500 signature?

im guessing the v2's are the returns or the cups with all the v2 headbands they had to replace with v3 ones. there is no confirmation that i have seen that the v2 are the same as v3. ive sent an email to find out if i get a response ill report back.
What’s the length of the head strap on V3 when you stretch it out? The V2 I got is exactly 20 cm (excludes the head band).

I believe the $60 price for the M500 beats the previous low by $5.

Monoprice has their closed over ear planar M1060C on sale for $250 free shipping. Low for the closed version I think.

Amazon has in stock the new Audio Techica ATH-M50xBT wireless for $200, Not a sale, but a brand new release at a smaller than normal markup over wired

Strange - using that code only nets a $10 discount from the $299 price. Am I missing something?

Edit: With on link I clicked on the KEF M500 not the KEF M500. I went to the specials page and found the proper KEF M500 for $69 and applied the $10 discount.

For reference: https://flash.newegg.com/product/26-416-008?
