I agree, the 7550, well I have the EX800, and I think it beats the EX1000 if you are comparing vocals.Also, I don’t think the MDR7550 gets the attention it deserves. Definitely among there among the best if you’re looking at vocals. Angie, ESR and 7550 are comparable.

Completely agree and I have both as well. EX1000 for imaging, detail and staging. MDR7550 for vocals, sweet emotions and easier on the ears for prolonged listening.

So, I was looking for a new iem but wrongly I never considered any Sony, now reading Crinacle's list I was intrigued by the EX1000 and read some reviews, well, I think they own me. Can I ask the difference between the universal and Japanese version?

No international version, each country are the same, labelled at the end of the bar code, E, J, U, CN etc, just make sure it's not the US version.Sorry I mean international version
