Interesting that you put the Klipsch X5s above the X10s - why is that? I had the X5s and enjoyed them until they broke due to flimsy stress relief around the jack, and I replaced them with ER4P/S, which seemed like a real step up. The X10 are lauded by What Hi-Fi mag as the best iems, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about - and i guess you agree?

I think you may have set a new record for the most > symbols between IEMs.

Are we to take it that you are basically satisfied with your purchase, cn11?

Heh, I've seen more.... perhaps I was a little excessive. But yeah, quite satisfied with the 700's.

@BennyBoy: Not to change the subject, but hey I really like your profile pic.

Also thought I'd comment on a few of you who have placed the Vibes on your lists. . .glad to see that. I just invested in a pair, and was actually not happy with them until just a day or 2 ago, but after giving them a 2nd chance with a little more burn in time, I can really start hearing the overral SQ warm up quite a bit.

I quite liked the X5's more neutral and snappy sound sig, and their bigger housings didn't feel like they were going all the way into my brain.

Yeah, Klipsch does need to deal with the issue of the mediocre stress reliefs on the jack/exiting the earpieces.

My humble list, Im being somewhat perverse by putting PL30 above RE0, but I feel its a better all rounder and always astonishes me with its depth and airiness and deep bass.
PL30
RE0
Lear LE01

Metrofi 220

Shure se210.

I imagine you might quite like a PL50, or RE1 (with an amp).

haven't heard many, but as soon as i get more money...

pl50>pl20>pl30=cx400II>pl11>k324p

Yeah, i like the pl20 better than the pl30... the pl30 and the cx400II sound very different but despite the pl30 being more detailed and the cx400II being bassy with bad soundstage, in terms of "fun to hear" i would rate them the same.
i listen to mostly metal and i think the pl30 is really not good for it, the pl50 also sounds better in other genres but it's in a class much higher than the other iems i have.

Yep, Ive been thinking about getting a PL50, if it does everything better than the 30, that would be brilliant. I love the clarity and detail of RE0 but its quite picky I find about the music it excels at.

It does!
I remember switching back and forth between the pl30 and the pl50, and there was a lot of resemblance between the two sound signature (but not exactly the same) only whenever I switched back to the pl30 i thought "They call this good?".
the pl50 is a lot better.
But i am willing to trade it for the re0

Am definitely gonna have to get PL50 then. I think RE0 and Pl50 will cover my every listening need. Sometimes I think I have some sort of freak PL30 tho, it sounds so much better to my ears than how a lot of people describe it here, I cant imagine how good the 50 will sound then
