What don't you like about the K340? I find them musically wonderful with a good recording and horrible with poor recordings. Very revealing but then again I don't have a stable of top notch HP'S like yourself.

I like them better than when I posted this... Did the baffle mod and now it's no longer giving me a bizarre audible break between the drivers' ranges.

1. Hifiman HEKse (this was tough, but I put this over all its peers, even Susvara, for its supreme technical ability in an efficient driver). Essentially perfect to my ears after EQ (with leather pads)
2. Meze Elite: big, impactful bass, impressive soundstage, EQs very well, albeit less technical
3. Audeze LCD-4z: last of a dying breed it seems. Audeze house sound. Tremendous subbass extension and overall subbass presence & definition (updated 2020 mesh and pads made a big improvement in SQ and comfort)
4. Sony MDR-Z1R, cause everybody needs a closed back. Biggest bass from a dynamic driver IMO

Your 1, 2 and 3 could’ve went either way and can be easily flip-flopped for the number 1 spot. All four headphones are so good at bass. Technicalities do go to the HEKse and based on that I like the way you have the ranked
