I'm an old school basshead, but I still love good quality sounding music. That is why the SZ2K's are not at the top of my list, even though they have the most bass overall. If this was rank your headphones in order of most fun, the SZ2K's would be #1. Both the X00's and Pro 500's provide me the mega bass impact I crave, yet sound great overall. But the X00's are clearly ahead of the 500's. 
 
The DT990's are my "relax" headphone. I use them for YouTube watching, and for casual listening sessions at low volumes. They are also my favorite for classic rock, and other non bass heavy genres of music. I absolutely love their immense soundstage.

Wow.  Sorry, I gotta comment.  I've got a few of the iem/ciems listed and I would put the JH audio 13fp in a separate tier above the Westone and Shure.  This is a very subjective hobby but technically in a different league.  The Earsonics SEM9 is equivalent in resolution but more musical and with dynamite sub-bass.

agree. My jh13 pro v2 is just stunning and competitive with my full size flagships.

Edition S over GH1, interesting.  I've always been told by the Grado people that the GH1 is the best thing going in Grado, and the Hifiman fans seem to mostly ignore or dislike the Edition S.

Thats what I started with
