Rank the Headphones that You Own.

Remember that the HE-350 is a dynamic headphone NOT planar which is why they cost less. Not in the same league as their other headphones.

Yes aware not planar. But still wondering on pad switch + amp + eq. There should be some hope. Also frame looks good (at 50US$) for possible driver swapping . I will do more digging/research :p

Apologies for two simultaneous posts. don't know how to edit and apply a reply to the original post :D

I got to hear the HEXv2 and thought wow this is perfect....until the HEKv2. That HEKv2 was hooked to classic remix Pathos model IIRC, and my eyes almost fell out of socket. Quite an expensive pairing though :p . The HEXv2 was on Pathos .... it was a lower model.... Aurium IIRC ... but to me they were both amazing. But I could not unhear the HEKv2. It was perfectly musical/graceful for my ears. I saw Susvara but they wouldn't hook it up. awww shucks ! :p .. It looked real purrrdyyy:floatsmile: but the audio tech person said it was a step up, which didn't surprise me.

Thanks for those impressions!

Man I really want to hear the HEX V2 side by side against the HEK V2.
I heard them quickly on meet last year, side by side but HEK version 1 and HEX version 2 and unfortunately both was with different amps but the same music. It was clear to me that HEK more natural, adult, spacious and HEXv2 was more direct brigter. But for this result could be also signed amps EF6 with HEK and some HiFiMAN lowend amp with HEXv2. So I would like to hear HEXv2 at home for some time becouse I like these type of easier drive headphone like LCDX. HEK with quality amp is amazing but very pricy, shame.

One last update..

1. Fostex TH900
2. AKG Q701
3. Beyerdynamic T70 250 ohm

I was gonna get the Beyerdynamic T1 but the T70 is just as good imo, albeit closed-back.

The T70 is pretty underrated, I've had them since release and they're great with acoustic/orchestral music.

Some of you folks have a lot of cans! I lived with Sennheiser HD700 for many years along with my very first AKG K550.

I finally purchased a third pair Senn HD800S which blew me away so much so I wanted to try one more pair with a different signature so I can shake things up.

So for me:

1. Senn HD800S
2. Senn HD700
3. AKG K550
4. Audeze LCD-3 (not sure where these will drop in 1 or 2. They haven’t arrived yet).

It’s getting addictive since upgrading to the 800S and updating some electronics. The 700s were really enjoyable over the years but new cans- 800S and new electronics really opened my ears to what it can be.

Hope the LCD-3s provide the same feeling.

Nice collection there. The LCD-3 (LCD-2f for me) will be a nice complementary headphone to the HD800S (HD800 for me) and HD700. You might want to consider a bass-head can like a TH-XXX series or even a Grado to have a fairly wide range of sound signatures.
