A very dark wood for a clear sound, very clear sound.
I need to "break-in" the drivers (RS-2e) that I use for "hear" the wood, Incredible sound for now. Finally I will mount a pair of Nhoord Red, I hope.

Cheers!!

Are those stock gimbals?

Very cool. Black cable would go nicely with what you did!

Greetings to all!!!

@DavidA ; Manual jobs such as cable braiding are very laborious but very satisfying and relaxing if it is not the full-time job just doing braids. :lifter: Putting a soft case is the final touch.

Are we talking about cables or ...?

Shells are made of Limba wood, which they apparently used to make Stratavarios violins.
Leather Head band, drivers from original SR125, Vented modded dampened and fussed over...lol
I own PS 500s and the modded SR125's sound as good as they do.

Does anyone here own G-cushion pads (preferably still in perfect shape) and could measure out the exact dimensions of them, as accurately as possible? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. The exact dimensions I'm talking about are in the picture, looking at the pad from a profile:

Thanks!

Been doing some random stuff....some not-so-fancy cups, standard fare:

Also some interesting collaborative work with Vibro Labs. I've never really done large batches of one thing, so it's been a nice change of scene.

And then this beast....a fully custom build using Purpleheart and drivers harvested from a pair of KAM HP1:

And I'm a little tired of Grado

So I found some vintage magnetic planar drivers from the 80s, excited to finish them and rebuild from the scratch =)

They are somehow Grado-planars for me, speaking of their sound-signature. I mean like old school Grado's, first models. Those familiar with the old Yamaha HP-1 will probably understand me.

I made almost everything to already start, even silver-plated wires (with the help of my friend), now-the question is.....how do I start all this haha

btw, this isn't a UFO lol

This is their new wooden home =)

I I hope I will find some time to finish them before May.

There are still a lot of questions left.

But they already sound good, like the bright side of Grado -plus it's more refined here and there.
Need more time to listen them =)

P.S. it's all started from this interesting article :o2smile: ;

Any experience with any old headphones like these? Thanks.

I try a lot of different things but Bruce's headphones tend to stay...
