The T20 has some real audio history behind it, but getting it to sound good can be a challenge. My guess has always been that the odd earpads were causing the slightly weird FR curve, but I'd like to be shown otherwise.

I wonder if the drivers are interchangeable between the T10 and T20v1. Hmmm..

The T10 and T20v2s are so I see no reason why the T20v1s won't be. The question is, did the driver change from the T20v1 to the T20v2? If it did change, then putting T20v1 in bigger pucks like the T20v2 will hold huge promise.

i put on these earpads on my t20. increased soundstage and bass a little. i have yet to try damping.

Not that I spent much time with the t20 before I gutted them for the driver. I used a little bit of cotton batten stuffed in-between the face plate and pads to shape the a bit so they we're not so darn flat. I forget the results besides a slightly more customizable fit.

My CE-H uses a bit thicker and nicer ear pad that could just be a question of use but seems like it was made that way.

nice, just look like whe using pads of Sony DR11 on my T20v2..
bigger staging and open up the air for more, but i prefer the stock pads over that pads from DR11..
well,for comfort reason..
eventhough the DR11 made from real leather and have big-inner-hole-circumaural but its stiffer and not flat&as comfy as original T20v2 pads..

they are off of a junked nova 40. actually very similar to akg k240 pads but thicker.

after some damping, if i like them enough, i will probably put on leather pads and a braided denon cable i have

What's wrong with your ТДС-15 (what happened to it)? Maybe it can be repaired? Do you have a picture of it?
( I have not heard the ТДС-15 but I think it looks very nice. )
(Don't throw it away even if it is broken!)
