Well you're welcome to try if you can get your hands on it.
I'll let you know if I see the headphone re-listed.

I wouldn't even know what would be the proper way to start...

Maybe plastic wrap, lightly stretched, somehow adhered with heat?

(the thought seriously occurred to me after buying a lumberjack sandwich from the grocery store and seeing them wrap then seal it by rolling the plastic film across a heated platform)

Copper/Aluminum foil of the 6-12um flavor typically adhered to (or vacuum vapor deposited onto) Mylar/Kapton of the 6-12um flavor. Then an etch mask is created somehow and everything but the circuit is etched away in an acid bath. That, or the manufacturer can selectively vacuum vapor deposit the Aluminum/Copper/Gold/what have you directly to the diaphragm substrate, very similar to how many manufacturers produce RFID antennas.

With the sprung PMB100 headband, the headband could possibly cause reflections if it hung down over the back of the driver. There may have been other differences between the two, but it's been a while since there was much discussion about them here. It's great that you've found another. I don't know if we have any idea how rare they might be. They are a mass produced electronic item- there must have been thousands made.

Nice find.
I almost lol'd though.
Beyerdynamic clone headband construction.
AKG clone inner headband.
Almost Audio Technica'ish style cups.
What a mish-mash of styles.

GermanMaestro (previously PMB, etc ) still uses a very similar headset.

Looks like a DUAL oem, DK-720 or so.

It is a Dual OEM. It's a nice find, it's rather unusual.

Yup and they've been doing it for years.
I had a Stanton SRS 265 (rebranded - MB Quart 70) and the headband and cable were literally IDENTICAL to my vintage DT990 (same era).
Clearly someone at Beyer forgot to sign an exclusivity contract with the factory producing those parts.

Thanks for the impressions guys. Would it sound good for the asking price? Or do you guys think I should see if I can low-ball him?
