Must admit I like having different sounding phones. So I don't think there will ever be just one phone for me unless it has a Grado/Sennheiser selector!
I was *almost* perfectly happy with just using the HD600 but at some point I realized that for one specific type of music (electronic) I needed something else, and I welcomed the RS1i to the family. Still, 90% of the time I find myself wearing the 600.

At first i was happy with my HD25's but after a couple of months i feel like i was missing something. After trying different headphones i bought the A900's. So far im happy with both.
I'm now listening exclusively to the HD600. It does more things right, and imbues less of its signature upon the recording than most anything I've listened to. Previously owned and now gone: K701, D5000, Edition9, HD800.
pleased your enjoying the LCD-2's. I'm gonna get some eventually. (I've a new baby on the way and so it looks like I'll be defending the 650's for another year or so
I'm not into high-end quality headphones. For me, headphones aren't a serious business thing but I love reading up on them. I bought the HD438 about 2 months ago. It's perfectly fine for what I use it for and I love it but after reading reviews after reviews on head-fi, I got hooked. I still have just 1 pair of headphones but I'm looking to get more in the future.
Honestly I will never be satisfied with one pair of headphones. No headphone is an all-rounder and most are either voice for an upfront presentation or laid back. The upfront phones are usually geared toward rock and pop in mind, while a more laid back versions are more suitable for large scale musical arrangement such as classical & jazz.

Very true, if someone invents a chameleon headphone that can change to suit the music then I might be happy with just one. If all you listen to is one genre of music then I can see why one hp would suffice, so I suppose it all depends on how eclectic your taste is...
Not me. I get a headphone splitter, put a balanced armature IEM in my right ear, and a dynamic driver IEM in my left ear; while I put an open full sized headphone on my head to give a nice background soundstage effect.
