ok well I have been on this site researching quite a while on headphones,but because there is so many brands and opinions out there that I dont know what to get...so please recommend some
 
I was going to get the Bose AE but I guess they are bad so no more bose..
 
I want....
 

1. portable headphones
2. good isolation
3. not too big/ugly
4. over ear headphones
5. around 120 usd or less
6. I mostly listen to mandopop which include music styles like R&B, rap, ballads, pop, etc
7. If you dont know what's mandopop then youtube it

The Oldskool seem great and I am considering buying them. However they are open and not isolating, so you will hear surrounding sounds and if you turn the volume up too loud, your music will leak out.
 
If isolation is not very important, the Oldskool might be great. There's also the V-Jays, Sennheiser PX100, AKG K420, Koss PortaPro and probably more that I have forgotten. The Sennheiser PX200 and the AKG K450 are closed phones so they do not leak and you will not hear (all) sounds around you.

Yes, seriously consider the HD 428 - you can score a pair refurb'd for $24 from dakmart.com, so there's little risk cash-wise and lots of upside sound-wise.

I'd say the HD 428 meet your criteria. They are closed, over-ear cans, provide good isolation and are suitable for your mandopop. You may also want to consider HD 438.

Actually the 428's will give more bass. For your use I would give the nod to them. If you ever decide to try a great value portable non-sealed phones with nice bass look for a pair of Porta-Pro's. I am having a blast with mine fed iPod tunes through a PA2V2.

Yes, the HD 428 will give you more bass than the HD 438. Another difference is that the latter comes with 2 detachable cables (1.4 m and 3 m).
