I mentioned closed in my post. I want as low leakage as possible since there are other people around. Sealed if possible. I won't be purchasing this now, but instead a while from now. I exclusively look for high resolution versions of my media. It's mostly Jpop, game music, and soundtracks. I should mention that I'd prefer mid bass or a slight bass rolloff if possible. If not, I can always use an EQ to reduce it. Amp is TBD. Source will be a Sound Blaster ZxR.
 
Preferred clamp fit and oval shape like the Shure sets. Want good treble.

I love this thread. So, thanks to people on this thread, I bought a pair of Audio Technica's ATH A900x. I love em. And as I use them more, I love them more. However, I've encountered a wee problem. They aren't exactly travel friendly. They're rather large! I've been nosing around the forums and Amazon for a decent set of over or on ear 'phones that don't have such a large footprint. The thing is, of course, they need to sound good. I like fairly neutral headphones. My favorites are the ATH A900x and Klipsch x10i's (but I need to stay away from IEMs for the time being). I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. Also, I always use my Fiio E7 (because my macbook pro hisses more than I can stand). Now, the problem is that I need to keep the cost down. Absolutely, under $100, but preferably lower. I've been looking at and considering Audio-Technica ATH-ES5SV and Klipsch Image One (although I really hate the 3 button control). But I'm sure someone here knows of something better!

Those are portable cans.  You need to post on the recommendations thread in that section of the forum.
 
If you want a full sized alternative, you should consider the CAL! and KRK KNS 6400.

I love to listen to: ALL EDM (electronic dance music) styles like dubstep .... / rock / hip hop / rap (not often) / blues (not too often) / metal (not often) / classical (not too often) / hip hop / pop (not often) 
 
I want them clear and not too dark + good strong (solid) bass with a pump (not too much so it wont ruin the highs and mids but still pumping) + good instrumental details + clear vocals but not too sharp (hurting my ears). 
 
Better if the pair wont need AMP (or at least little AMP that can handle the pair).

Maybe some ATH solid bass line? I tried the WS70s and it's great! Very solid bass, nice clear mids and highs but there's slight recessed mids. Very slight not as noticeable as most I have came across.

Hi!
Im looking for a closed, over ear can. I have been looking at the akg 167 tiesto, but it doesent have detachable Cable. I know the 267 has but it is to expensive. I have been reading some threads here and found the Fischer FA-003, i really like the design but cant try them out or buy them here in my country (sweden). Are the akg 267 Worth the extra bucks? Or are they just another beats by dre hype? Do you guys have any suggestions that look like the 2 above?
 
Im listning alot to rock, metal and some hiphop. I will use my phone as a player ( samsung galaxy s3). It must be good Comfort and good isolation as i going to use them traveling to work by bus/subway. And of course sound is important. My budget is 300-380$. Sorry for my English!   Thanks !!

maybe a ps 500 grado is for you. They are aggressive, good bass, very good for rock, blues and metal.

Thanks! I'll ask over there, but I'll take suggestions like these too. The KRK KNS 6400 look good. With the CAL!, I'm little worried about durability.
