Hey guys I have sennheiser hd595 and love their sound, but they leak sound a lot.  I'd like to get some headphones with equal sound quality that don't leak, so I was thinking of some closed back headphones.  I watch a lot of movies and listen to dubstep on my headphones.  I don't want to spend more than about $150 or so but I can go a little higher if I need to.
Can you tell me if these are good options?  Or if you've heard them and also sennheiser similar to the 595 how they'd compare?
edit: I mostly listen to from my desktop pc sound card output, but I just ordered an Aune T1 dac/headphone amp from china

Alrighty guys, I need some headphone recommendations. I've narrowed it down to the hd598 with fiio e11, dt880 32 ohm without fiio e11, and the mdr ma900 with fiio e11. Please try to stick to the list because ive already done a few months of research on these.

I am considering almost the exact same things, I am considering HD 598 with Fiio e17 or dt880 with no amp. Thoughts, anyone?

They all have more bass than you Senns.  The Shure has the least more bass than your Senn.

The DT 880 is the best can in your grouping.  However, I would not get it unless you get at least the 250 Ohm version and an amp strong enough to drive it.

The other two cans are good and relatively easy to drive.  The Sony is very easy to drive.

How does the tried and true HD 650 compare to the signature I'm targeting?

You won't like the treble.  It is veiled--more than the HD 600.  Neither is on the bright side.

Too bad. This deal just popped up and it would have been good timing to take advantage of it. But yes, everything I've read about does make it seem as though I wouldn't prefer them.

Not sure if I should ask again but:

I am looking for a new headset for around 200$, either from ebay or an online retailer that ships worlwide.
I mainly play games like battlefield 3, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and mostly shooters.
I listen to dance and electronic music.
And watch movies and tv shows a few times a week.
Also if possible, they should have a built in microphone, or I will just get a cheap external one.

Any recommendations?

Well for starters you need an open can.  I myself am looking for an open can for around the same price.

Ive found 3 that compete for the title:
AKG Q701
Sennheiser HD558/598
MDR MA900

I will probably get the ma900s though.

Actually, i take that back, you don't need n open can.  The Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80s are perfect for dance/electronic music and have a great sound stage.  If you get an open can, your definitely gonna loose some bass for those genres, but will be mind blowing for games.  You should check them out.

So my superlux headphones broke, is the ATH-M50 a good replacement/upgrade? or are there better cans than the M50's in that price range? I listen mostly to dubstep (old school dubstep, not the skrillex kind), no amps, straight from my PC's soundcard (Asus Xonar DG) and sometimes from my phone. I'd like a closed back pair for a change. Thanks!

bumping my post. :) I'm gonna buy this weekend for vacation next week. :)

Which Superlux?  The M50's have recessed mids.  Most seem to buy them for their bass.

So long story short, I have 2 pairs of HE-400's. I don't really like them with the Pleather, but if I recall, when I had the velour pads, they were fine. I really love my Q701's though, and the He-400 couldn't trump them. So, I was wondering of its worth a shot to sell the He-400's and buy an LCD-2? Wil they be very similar to the He-400? They seam to have more treble and much more mids. Thanks!

N.B. I own a Lyr and a Gamma2

The sennheiser momentums are pretty small. You should check them out.

Now for sound quality you want the momentums, or amperior.

This is aimed at nejii

Now for only size (just size alone), the b&w p5 comes to mind.

The LCD-2 is not similar to the HE 400.  The LCD-2 has more bass.  See:

More bass?????? Uh oh, that doesnt sound to pleasing. I am a treble head i guess. Hows the treble in the LCD-2, is it better/more aparent than the 400? I see a dip in the mid treble around 13khz on the he-400 if i remember the graph correctly lol. I think THAT might be what makes it seam lacking in the treble area (the HE-400 of course).
