Option 1: Denon D2000, Audio Technica AD900
Option 2: Denon D2000, Beyer DT880 600ohm
Option 3: Denon D2000, Audio Technica AD700, Beyer DT880 600ohm
Option 4 (cheap-ish option): Audio Technica M50, Audio Technica AD700, Beyer DT800 600ohm
 
Every headphone in each route should be different enough from each other right?

Ironicly im not very fond of strong highs, At some points the Sr325is is pushing it. The Dt880 handles the highs great imo
The DT880 have great detail and a bit more bass than the 325, the 325 offer the agressive mids and overall great "metal" sound. 
They complement each other very well. A single can that does both well would be best, if they even exist.
 
How do the AD900 or AD1000 rate metal/rock/blues wise?

Also, the m50 and 840s sound like more desirable sound signatures to me. I wouldn't mind a little extra bass, but I would not want it at the cost of a compromised even frequency response.

With the prices of the D2000 quite high these days, you might even consider the D1100 or tracking down a used D1001 (plenty of reviews comparing them, just do a search).
 
For a budget minded entry to try out different sound signatures, I would try this: AD700, D1100, and maybe the DT990pro (the pro series is cheaper than the premium line and differs mainly just in outer styling and clamping force; it's also only available for the 770 and 990)

While it's good, I'm not sure if that one can will satisfy. Maybe one thing to consider would be the Symphones Magnum mod for the 325. There's an entire thread dedicated to it here, so check it out.

I answered you on the previous page... but to reiterate, those headphones you've listed are really more of the same. If you're looking for something different, try some open or semi-open headphones. Some starting points: Audio Technica AD700, Sennheiser 555/558, Fostex T50rp.

So you're recommending something like the Behringer for my headphone amp? Don't mean to be negative about it being cheap, but shouldn't I be going for something a little nicer? And what about diy amps? I don't mind soldering.

It's a bit of a vague question. What genres do you listen to? And like TMRaven asked, what gear are you using them with?

They're ok, but considering the K240 is actually cheaper on Amazon right now, you might as well get the big brother.

You had a budget preamp, so I figured you were looking to stay within the same price range. There are tons of amp options available; pick a budget and decide what kind of features you want. Alternatively, just get a home receiver that has the phono input and headphone output all together.

I'm amping my dt990/600 with my AGD NFB12 currently, and I like to listen to metal and dubstep. I like fast responsive bass, but power too. Not bloated. Sound stage is also a very important factor. So should I save up for a better amp? Or should I sell the dt990 and get the ultrasone pro 900?

Ah, well I got the preamp so I could have something to get the turntable playing, and it was recommended to me. I gotta see if my dad still uses his receiver, otherwise I could just use that and worry about cans/cartridge. The M50s are going for 110 right now, and that's pretty hard to pass up, so I might have to get those over the 840s.
 
EDIT-Dad doesn't use the receiver anymore, so now I have a Kenwood 104AR at my disposal. I suppose now it's just time for a new cartridge and a new set of cans. Playback is a bit scratchy, especially on the S's in vocals, so I'm hoping my upgrades will fix that.
