Hi, folks! I'm fairly new to this forum so this is my first post. I'm currently looking for some headphones for my iPod classic. This is my first pair of headphones (since my earbuds broke) so I'm fairly new to all these. Initially I wanted to get a pair of Razer Electra's since they were $60, had a detachable cable, and they could fold up (The green coloring is a pretty nice addition as well), but I've heard they don't have THAT great of a sound quality and they don't last very long. So simply put:

-I'm mainly looking for a headphone that's between $60-100 (preferably as low as possible of course)
-has a detachable cable
-can fold up
-I'm not looking for something bass heavy as well, but not extremely weak bass as well. Somewhere in the center will work fine for me.
 
I'm basically looking for further options on what headphones to get and since I have no experience in this, I'll need some help. The main genre's of music I listen to are:

-classical/instrumentals
-electronic
-house
-hip hop
-pop

 Is this something that you'll use away from home or will it be for home use.

Outside mainly. I usually just let my speakers connected to my computer blast away. The main purpose of these headphones are when I go out and I sit on the bus for example listening to my iPod.

The are close to matching, the KNS 8400 just has better ear pads then the KNS 6400

I own the KNS 8400, the cups turn 90 degrees, make it easier to travel with and has a detachable cable.

Awesome! I'll check it out. If anyone has further suggestions, please let me know. So far as of now, I have the 2 mentioned here, shure srh440, sennheiser hd 429 and 449, VMODA crossfade LP. Anyone know if any of these would fit my preferences?

In the price range or a bit below it, I like the Koss PortaPros, the iGrados, the Yuin G2A, Creative Aurvaanaorsomesuchweirdname Live, and the Allesandro MS1s.  As weird as it sounds I'd probably pick the Creatives as they really do sound the BEST of anything under $100US that I've heard.
 
On a price performance basis though, the Koss KSC75 are probably the best headphones in the world, sure other sound better, but they really do not sound THAT much better given that the KSC75 cost between $5 and $20 depending on who has them on sale at the moment.
