Out of those options IMO the D2 would be the best. You should also consider the Meizu M6, there is a new version of it the M6se coming out in I think 4th quarter of this year.

AFAIK gapless is on by default and there are no options to turn it off or change settings with it.

I think gapless is only important for live music, but for me it doesn't matter at all, there are more important things to look for in a DAP.

IMO you should wait to see the iAudio X7 as it is likely to be your best option

Can the hiss be heard during a song or only when paused?

Some people have modded their iriver H340's with 80GB hard drives. I think 100GB drives would also fit.

iriver T50 and T60 are both available right know and have been for a while from here.

The iriver H340 should also be considered as it is the newer model of the H140 and the H340 has a line out.

I am looking forward to seeing the X7. A launch in summer seems unlikely as there has been no info released about it yet. IMO it is highly unlikely the screen will be larger then 2.5" as Cowon have the A2/A3 for people who want a larger screen.

Have you considered the iriver T60? It's a little more expensive but in the same league. It's battery life is 20hours with a AAA, it's very light, weighs only 24 grams!

Is anyone using Mylar Three's with a Cowon D2? How are they together?
