Hippo Headphones Review - Finally!
I'm finally getting around to review Hippo headphones, the Shroom and the VB. Just FYI, I love hippos, and I love the company's name! I give all headphones I review at least 50 hours of burn-in before I listen to them closely. I use three pieces of music at V0 variable bitrate to test my...- souperman

Finally got around to reviewing all my Hippo Gear. Going to put up my Hippo Amplifier Review in the next couple of days. I'll be posting it here in this opening post. Just a quick overview...this is such a great little amplifier. I've been using it for awhile and it's absolutely wonderful as a...- souperman

NuForce Icon Mobile vs NuForce uDAC
I'm looking to buy one of the two. My usage for these will be as a USB soundcard and amp. I know the uDAC isn't for portable sources, but I'm really only going to be using it as a soundcard and amp from my computers. What's the difference, and which would be better for my usage? Thanks!- souperman

other headphone forums to sell headphones
Just for my own information, if I want to sell headphones like Hippo VB's or Shrooms, what asian headphone forums have a for sale forum that Singaporeans or other Asians frequent (since I feel like they know about Hippo headphones)? It seems like it might be hard to sell on these forums since...- souperman

RE1/RE2 Review
I was lucky enough to obtain the RE2 and the RE1 and here is my review of the two. The packaging that these RE's come with is incredible. A nice leather case with a dragon imprint on the front. You get a nice headphone extension which I really like since the RE's aren't so long like some...- souperman

SD card help
So, my SD card got scratched by the workers at Wolf camera, and they claimed I scratched it with my own camera, which I do not believe at all since I have done so quite a few times, without noticing scratches before I went to Wolf. The camera doesn't read the card anymore because of the...- souperman

Closed headphones for rock <$300
I recently regrettably sold off my HFI780 for money reasons. However after the summer I'd like to have enough to buy another pair of closed headphones. I know this niche for a good pair of <$300 closed headphones is quite small, but I'd still like to try as I haven't heard that many...- souperman

Reversing negative eBay feedback
Here's the deal. First of all take a look at my eBay feedback link and notice the negative feedback from htauthority. I purchased a pair of D2000's from htauthority. However we exchanged some e-mails and he refunded my money. This was all done in a very polite manner. Then all of a sudden a week...- souperman

New Swans M10 on my desk!
I just recently got these Swans. I can't believe how nice of a sound I'm getting out of these. Acoustical guitar music is so liquidy smooth. The woofer must go on your desk or you won't feel or hear it. However, if it is on your desk, there is enough and more bass for my rap and daft punk , and...- souperman

iBasso D2-Viper (Pictures, Impressions, and Reviews): Read the Rules!
Well, it seems like my last thread was a bit premature, and resulted in many pages of posts that had nothing to do with anything (including some unsubstantiated thread-crappers), and as jamato advised, I have started a new one and renamed the old one. Anyways, the D2-Vipers are surfacing so...- souperman

Denon D2000 - too much bass?
Hey guys, I recently received a pair of Denon D2000's. Prior to receiving them I got the impression that some people thought there was too much bass, and that is why I got them because I am a college student who is bass-desensitized and looking for a pair of bassy headphones that aren't...- souperman

Sony S618 Album Art not showing up
Hey guys, I have a slight problem. I love this player, for starters. The only problem I have right now is that sometimes when I sync my MediaMonkey to the player, the album art doesn't show up, but it shows up in MediaMonkey. Any ideas on how to fix this? Only some albums don't show up, but...- souperman

Sony 818 vs 618 aesthetics
I was wondering which one of these looks better. Does the 618 have raised buttons? It doesn't seem like it. I want to get one or the either, FM radio doesn't matter to me so I'm not sure which one to get. The 818 looks a bit cheap and old school in all the pictures, but I'm sure it doesn't in...- souperman

D1 optical question
I was wondering about the path of the optical signal vs the path of the USB signal. Do they both go through the DAC? And if so, would one be better than the other since they both go through the DAC? That being said, I have another important question. Would running the D1 from the optical of...- souperman
