Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I don't, of course, know your baseline. I've spent quality time in Models X, 3 and Y and found them to be substantially quieter than any previous gas cars I've driven, but I've not driven any super luxury brands. With the substantially lower drivetrain noise you do hear a lot of other noises...

I'd like to give this 10 thumbs-up. I came to this song ("who the ph is Alice") via a Danish version by Bamses Venner and I think it's absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the reference. Now I need to find out more the Alice (Coltrane) everyone else is talking about.

I consider cloud backup in the terabyte class as a backups of last resort. I try to keep 2-3 near-field backups for disaster recover. Cloud backups are for cataclysm recovery.

Perpetually five days behind... Anyway I have this on original vinyl. Picked out of a discount bin. Also on CD when it was first released (on CD). I'm also a fan of side 1/a. I don't know if people think it's cliched now but I fire it up on a regular basis and thoroughly enjoy it. Play it...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I have to call this out. I'll even venture that, while not on the sine wave, this has been gone over here in the past. Meat on a roll with cheese is not a cheesesteak. I think you are describing a buffalo chicken sandwich of some sort. A cheesesteak has particular ingredients prepared in a...

Actually Mr. Musk did not sell $40B of stock. That was the purchase price of twitter. The purchase was a combination of private investors and $8.5B from Mr. Musk. Apparently the shares he sold were from the same batch he bought the year before and had already paid taxes on. They were...

I've always said, when flying, that I want the pilot well trained, well rested and well paid. I absolutely do not chase the lowest ticket price or fly budget airlines (*). (*) I understand there can be excellent pilots and crew on budget and discount airlines but I don't believe they are...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

My original mention of $11B of taxes came from Mr. Musk excercising stock options, in 2021, that were about to expire. The per-share price when the options were granted was something around $6.50 but the current stock price was around $950. Blame all those fools buying Teslas. As explained by...

As a friend of mine once said, or was it is father... or maybe it was just me... If something doesn't make sense it's probably because there is something you don't understand. Translation: If apple is doing things that don't make sense, they are probably doing it to serve goals that are not...
