Hey @JamminVMI, speaking of blues…
The Hammond B-3 might just be one of the most amazing instruments ever made. Especially when its signal gets routed through a Marshall amp.
Yummy!

Oh man, this hit home and made me laugh. But for me it was Trig. Then I got completely lost in Calculus and had to change majors because I was never going to pass a Calculus class.
My Calc 113 prof told me "Forget everything you know about math and just enjoy this. Algebra is about generalizing arithmetic, and geometry is about describing shapes, but calculus is about the measurement of continuous change. Change makes the world go around, and change is good!"
He rocked my math world. He made it (almost) easy, and set me up for success. Change is good!
So if you like this type of music (Jazz, World Music), this is a fantastic album. I've seen Jonathan Butler in a small venue like Jazz Alley in Seattle, and an outdoor concert at Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. Playing this for the last 8 months my wife and I can't get enough of this album. Streaming on Qobuz, CD on URD. It doesn't disappoint, me. Dual Vidars from Freya S to Maggi LRSs. Priceless. I have pathways through digital volume controls, and others totally analogue. Fantastic either way...Happy New Year.
Remember, it is not always about raw power and large speakers are often far more easy to power than large ones.
KEFs really do benefit from amplifiers which have more control over them. Some may find a single Aegir will not control the speaker well... LOUD is not control
Agreed. Ran a pair of OG LS50s with a pair of monoblock Aegirs. At one point, tried "reverting" to a single Aegir driving the same speakers, and... not as good.
I also hooked the OG LS50s to my downstairs system with monoblock Tyrs. Wow. I've always heard "spend 50% of your budget on speakers", but in this case, LS50s + Tyrs blew that old adage completely out of the water.
The OG LS50s and one of the Aegirs are now in transit to a good friend's son's place in Ann Arbor. Nick is a freshman at U of M and a jazz major. He is over the moon with the combo... and now I can buy more Schiit. <g> Life is good!
