two pairs. a pair of IEM's for portability sound isolation (for the plane, train, and travel) and a pair of traditional cans for home.

the thing is...until one looks for "great" headphones, they may not even know that Sennheiser or Grado exist. Instead, all we see are the sony's, logitechs, etc... of the world.

There should be a choice for: I think rap music is a valid musical art form. And I listen to it occassionaly.

i love my headphones for detail however i prefer speakers when I want to feel immersed in the music. There's just something about feeling the low tones through your body - whether it's a drum, base, or even an organ.

I don't count the time while i'm driving or when the music is on in the background. i wish i had more time to sit down and really listen

i once had ambitions of photoshopping my pictures, but then i found myself taking so many pictures, that this wasn't realistic. Furthermore, the image enhancement capabilities of applications like Picasa do a fine job 90% of the time. So...I gave in to JPEG.

I don't think Lemieux gets enough credit. He was a scoring machine who had some of the best hands the league has ever seen.

I listen to a large variety of music from classical and jazz to rock and hip hop. They all sound great to me on the 650's.

If the Shure's are out of your budge range, I'd go with the MD33
