Personally, I don't think that burn in has any effect on sound quality. Warm up on the other hand can definitely have an effect on certain equipment.

I see what you did there.       I used to be at around 1.5g daily and that was pretty absurd. If you keep pushing your tolerance enough then over time 1g a day just maintains baseline lol. These days I definitely enjoy my caffeine sources as opposed to using them purely for a jolt.

With my machine I still have to grind and tamp each shot myself. The steam pressure/water amount/etc is all auto though. I always get an even 3oz double shot. Seems to be the sweet spot on water when my filter is fully packed

I was really sick the past few days and didn't have any caffeine for about a day and a half. Had a pretty massive headache until I had my regular double shot this morning. I thought it was all due to the illness but I suppose it was just my internal caffeine alarm.
