Im in the same situation as you are. I bought the k81 with canare cable already so I am not sure if a recable is worth it to you or not. My other suggestion is trying another DAP like Sony's NWZ-S616 So it might depend if you use equalizer or not.

1. EP630. Thats all that I ever need to own over X3, T25 that I had bought

I do and still think the sound quality on the igrados are a bit better than the ksc75s, but still 1. its not $40usd of an improvement over 75s and 2. The headband is unbearably uncomfortable after 45min of use. Just because of that, it was sufficient that I had sold my iGrados.

Pay as you go and craigslist the SE K750i, w800/810i, k790a/i. Without a doubt the best you can get for your money.

Are these good for deaf people? Instead of using their eardrums to listen, the sound is transmitted through the skull? I have a feeling they might be marketed to those groups of people... If I was deaf, I would definitely be in, but for a pure head-fi experience, Im not so sure.

The ep630 is the way to go if you have a clean equalizer with your mp3 player. It [[Dominates]] like a night club if you can get it just right. I had a better experience with them than the X3s that was toned down a bit. Still interested in bass freq opinions though
