ATH Pro700mkII Anniversary Edition, Thoughts? worthed?
Quote: I live in Japan. So far prices haven't changed at retail (around ¥23,000 is the cheapest NIB, ¥26,000 is MSRP) but the used have been slowly creeping up in price. This week about ¥2500, not sure if they're getting scarce or since more people are discovering them the retailers are...- UNESCO

ATH Pro700mkII Anniversary Edition, Thoughts? worthed?
I just got back from auditioning the regular Pro700MkII against the mkII Anniversary Ed. at the Shinjuku Bic Camera and I could discern a distinct difference between the two, above the fit and finish. The Anniversary Ed. has punchier bass and less 'rumble'. It's mids are a little more...- UNESCO

audiophile quality albums
I just put on albums I really enjoy listening to and know will get a lot of spins out of on the headphones. Really, to me buying a pair that sound great on 'audiophile' albums but not on what I like to listen to is just a waste... I'll never listen to that stuff anyways (although it is... -
Thom Yorke- Eraser, 1 year later. Your thoughts?
to sum it all up for me would be "forgettable" as someone else mentioned; it sounds good when you're listening to it but nothing really stands out after you put it away. I'm more of a fan of pre-kid a stuff so I'm partial to RH's more rock-oriented stuff anyways. eagerly anticipating their... -

Career Conundrum
it's all networking once you start your career anyways. find a position writing accounting software in a large enough firm and doors will open to new opportunities if you present yourself as willing and able to try new challenges. Paypal allowed someone to steal from me.
it seems as though ebay sides with the seller and paypal sides with the buyer. It's almost a no-win situation when dealing with a scammer as they know how to work either system to perfection. www.paypalsucks.com is horribly biased but you may find stories from other people who've been in the...- UNESCO

Buying Electronics in Japan
thanks guys (esp. Jason), I'll soon see for myself but it's nice to have some people's opinions beforehand. I'm going to bring my own English version of Vista x64 over with me to just install over any Japanese OS that comes pre-installed with a laptop. It's the ultraportables I'm interested in...- UNESCO

Buying Electronics in Japan
I'm going to be leaving for Japan in a week (8 month teaching contract) and am wondering what other Head-fi members experienced with Japanese gear. Stereotypically, Japan is always associated with the latest gadgets packed full of features and advancements not yet available in North America...- UNESCO

Classifieds: Why does everyone remove the asking price after an item sells?
it annoys me too (how much should I ask for my ATH-900's! ) in any event I think it's just that sellers don't want to confuse anyone that they're still available and receiving PMs from other interested parties. Easier to replace the price with "SOLD" and be done with it.- UNESCO
