How much money has this 'place' influenced you to spend?

My goal is to sell to the younger folks who don't seem to have much money and give them a break on the price. So my losses total around 4K. Not bad for two years entertainment, when you figure a week in New york, with my wife, costs about 10K. This is more fun.

Do you actually have all that stuff in your profile, or does "retired with honor" mean sold?

I have the amount I've spent in my signature just so I can keep track of myself. Considering the amount of gear I have, I'd say what I've spent is relatively low. No regrets here.

Too much, too fast! There's always that "other piece, that better piece, that newer piece, that better sounding piece".

Nearly $5000. If you include cables and all, probably a little over.

In the coming months, I have another $5000 to outlay.

TakeT H2 & TR2, Rotel RLC-1040 and RB-1070, Genelec 8030As, and a 7050B.

The problem with this site isn't so much the headphone gear, its the headphone gear plus everything else you now have to buy.

For instance, headfi made me upgrade my car stereo. Started with $300 as I knew it was impossible to get decent sound in a car. $2000 later into that, I'm still not satisfied. Instead of cutting my losses like a smart person, I'm leaving in five minutes to have cutsom fiberglass doors made up to make it sound better.

It's all head-fi's fault.

Well, I have to say, this thread makes me feel a little bit better about what I spent! I stopped counting at around $850, but it must be over $1000 now, with my latest purchases.

But - and I know these are famous last words - I think I'm close to being "done." Another $500-$600 worth of gear and I should have the setups that I desire.

Well, until the things in my portable rig start to crap out...
