Something between HD650 / X2HR?
Owned both HD650 and X2 in the past. I guess you're super sensitive to treble because I never had that issue... I hate piercing treble. I would say the DCA Aeon Open-X fits your needs. Just take that recommendation with a grain of salt, because I have never personally heard them before. I would...- tomatoshoe

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
I'm actually looking into this: https://ebay.us/ZQCSsY I know it's for the Heddphone, but I'm trying to contact the seller to find out if it'll somehow fit the 5200, given there's 2 screw holes on each side... Not sure how great it would look though...- tomatoshoe

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
Awhile back, everyone was saying that the headband has a hotspot and I thought y'all were crazy. Welp. I recently cut my hair super short and now I have that hotspot... It seriously hurts the top of my head and I get a headache. Time to find some sort of headband padding...- tomatoshoe

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
Did you own the pre-2020 version prior to the 2020? Sold my v2 Andro a month ago and I miss it... The tuning with the treble sparkle was easily one of its most unique features.- tomatoshoe

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
Picked these up when they were on sale for $209.99 from Denon's official site. Man what a steal. I had a TH900 (MK1) till recently, which I sold. My thoughts: Physical: Pads and headband are comfier than Fostex. Cable is detachable. Connectors are better too… They use 3.5mm instead of that...- tomatoshoe

I honestly think "updating" their logo right after releasing a new IEM (the Nio) is a bad move on their part... I can't imagine how new owners feel about having the "older" looking face plate only after 2 months.- tomatoshoe

What’s a good IEM to complement the U12t? Was thinking Sony IER-Z1R, but the size and comfort of it is making me think it’s a bad idea.- tomatoshoe

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
I have a V2 Andromeda. For those that have listened to both the new 2020 Andromeda and the V2... is there any reason to upgrade? I've read a lot of comparisons saying that the sound is more balanced now. I've also looked at the frequency response measurements and it looks to be the case... but...- tomatoshoe

iFi micro iDSD Black-Label - In-Depth Review
I just purchased one of these and am happy with the device but have a few issues, and one question: My unit makes a loud pop whenever I turn the unit on or off. Happens both on speakers and IEM’s. Is this normal? There is channel imbalance at lower volumes… Normal or not? I have speakers...- tomatoshoe

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
When I used to have a RHA T20, I would get electric shocks from wearing it at times... Fortunately, the CA Andro never shocked me ever. I have the ver 2 if that makes any difference.- tomatoshoe

64 Audio A12t/U12t Impressions
Yep. They finally just got back to me. They're currently not sending out demo units because of COVID. Quite sad about this because I definitely do want to hear them before considering purchasing a pair. Guess I'll be waiting. :disappointed:- tomatoshoe

64 Audio A12t/U12t Impressions
I sent 64 Audio a message asking about auditions, but they haven't gotten back to me. Do you think they would even give auditions during these COVID times? Where did you get your free audition at? Their website says there is a 15% off flagship custom in-ears.. with the A12t being one of them...- tomatoshoe

Holy moly! Received these today (in a smashed up box, thank you USPS)... and they're really good. Never was too impressed with IEM's... the best I ever had was the Westone 3, and those didn't impress me one bit. These definitely do.- tomatoshoe

I love these headphones to death, definitely the best headphones I've ever heard like I mentioned before... But this is kind of ridiculous: I've been babying them the entire time, and I just noticed today. No idea where the piece went. Will see what Focal says... Sending them a message...- tomatoshoe
