Updated Shure Range: Guidance?
advancedmp3players.co.uk have an outlet in Edinburgh and when I popped along they had a Shure branded case with the full range of headphones. They were happy to give me a new set of foamies and work through the range. I walked away with a pair of SE530PTHs for a very good price! I am s"h"ure...- Aerotec

Help me select headphones - budget $80.00
If you are still looking then I totally recommend the Portapros. I got a pair last week in the UK for 18ukp and the sound is just superb! I have HD650s, Shure SE530s etc but the comfort of the Portapros, the clarity of the sound and the open sound stage makes them a delight to listen to. Give...- Aerotec

Do you still use a portable CD Player??
Hey can you post the link to the ebay sale? Is that allowed? Then again shipping to the UK and the rubbish £ to $ probably makes it uneconomical to buy- Aerotec

PA2V2 Amp Report
I ended up splashing out on the SE530PYH. I really like both the earphones and the PTH module. Makes it so much more convenient when out and about. Will keep a look out for some RE0s when the £ recovers as would be good to try them out too. I just got an Fiio E5. Lovely little amp but not...- Aerotec

Do you still use a portable CD Player??
pmartel, can you tell us the model number. Wouldn't mind keeping a look out for one on fleabay. I used to have a top range Technics PCDP but swapped it with someone for a PDA when they were becoming all the rage back in the early 90s. Then I got in to MD when it first launched and used to...- Aerotec

what do you think 120 vs 160 classic?
If the 120gb and the 160gb are the same why can't you just load new firmware to get Genius working on the 160Gb??- Aerotec

Do you still use a portable CD Player??
I grabbed a load of CDs at our local Woolworths (99 year old retail chain in the UK that went bust and finally closed up today ) and want to chill out and listen to them but can't be bothered ripping them just now. And want to be in a different room to the home CD Player. So apart from using...- Aerotec

160 Gig Classic...
My local music store still has a 160Gb in stock. Are you saying the software is not the same as the 120Gb and that it won't support Genius?- Aerotec

HTC touch HD sound quality?
If it is anything like my HTC Tytn II then the volume will be pants and you will most likely need to consider amping it. Something like an Fiio E5 would work well if you want to keep the size down.- Aerotec

PA2V2 Amp Report
I can report back that my PA2V2 was shipped over to the UK for $60 total, no import tax, and works very well with my SE530s. I am looking to get some Grado's too so look forward to seeing how they work with them. I am new to high end portable systems but as a starter amp it is great. I do...- Aerotec

ipod classic sound quality worse than 5g true or false.
Well I was going to get a 2nd hand 5.5g but think i will just jump in and get a classic. I have found a store in town with some 160Gbs left. Is there any difference between the 120 or 160Gb? Did I not read some problems with the 160Gb and possibly an EU sound level limit (though that won't be a...- Aerotec

Advanced mp3 discounts ?
For future ref they are really flexible if you email or call them. I actually popped to the store in the shopping mall in North Edinburgh as I was trying to order some SE530s online for £229.99 and wanted to use a 10% off code Head10 that was due to expire that night. However the code was not...- Aerotec

Opinions of the PTH unit?
Lol yes they might think I am being rude but then again most folk don't realise how well these block out noise. Even when flying with QC2s on cabin crew still chat away to you and don't give you a moment to take them off! Hey if flying you could clip the PTH to the headrest with a "Push to talk...- Aerotec

Sony MDR-EX500LP vs MDR-EX300SL
This may be a bit naff but... If you have a Blockbuster near you go buy some ex-rental copies of Grand theft Auto IV for the PS3. They are 2 for £18. These can then be traded in at HMV for £18 A COPY. So spend £18 and get £36 store credit. Do this twice and for £36 you now have £72 to spend...- Aerotec

Where can I buy Klipsch Custom 3 or Shure SE530 PTH
Yeah getting in to headphones when the £/$ is so crud really sucks. I usually order kit from the US or pick it up when over there and it sucks when I realise you can't just half the US$ price to get the UK£ price! Still, hopefully the US members will get plenty of good deals buying from Europe!- Aerotec

Opinions of the PTH unit?
I don't agree that it is too large to practically use outside but we all have our opinions. I got my SE530PTHs on New Years Eve and love both the earphones and the PTH. I clip the ipod to my belt on its side, the portable amp tucks in to my pocket and the PTH module clips to my belt. I run the...- Aerotec
