Campfire Audio all new Polaris
That's interesting, I pretty much use my Atlas all day every day and I rarely get driver flex haha- Omegon

No problem! Yea, I've gone the last two years and they've been selling at the show. I think they bring a handful of each model, I don't know how many but if you want to guarantee picking one up I'd probably go early on.- Omegon

If you want some extra bass I'd probably go with the Polaris over the Andros. The Andros (in my opinion of course) are fairly neutral. Being a basshead I did not really enjoy them. Again, this is subjective. I recommend you go to Canjam and try em out, Ken usually offers a pretty nice in show...- Omegon

One reason why I like the SS finish on the Atlas, it's got a ton of tiny scratches on it but you can only really tell during a close inspection. I feel like that blue is gonna scratch easily, then again that has no impact on performance haha- Omegon

That's good advice, my buddy had the Solaris briefly so I've only listened for like 5 minutes so I didn't get a good demo in. Totally agree on the seal, that's pretty essential. When I go to Canjam this year I'll give them a more thorough demo and maybe pick em up there if they offer an...- Omegon

Oh I'm down with it haha. I realize it's a bit exaggerated but I'm a bass head at heart. I'm not saying I can't appreciate other tunings, but I need to have at least a slight elevation in the low end for me to feel stimulated at all.- Omegon

Haha I've almost pulled the trigger on Solaris a few times. My only concern is that the bass would be insufficient for me, the Atlas has spoiled me lol:L3000:- Omegon

Hmm, after reading some of these comments I'm wondering if it's worth it for me, coming from an Atlas. I was wanting something new and slightly different- Omegon

Please keep us posted! I was on the fence for the original Polaris and ended up getting an Atlas which I love. Now with the price drop on this one I'm considering pulling the trigger just because lol- Omegon

It's funny you mention fit, that was my primary concern as well and the Atlas fit me better than the Vega. I have small ear canals, but with the right tips the atlas just fits perfectly. For reference, I find the small comply/CA marshmallow tips to be too big lol. I use the smallest Final audio...- Omegon

I dunno dude, sounds like we have pretty similar musical tastes, I love that bass. I had the opportunity to do a fairly extensive AB with the Vega and Atlas and found the Atlas to be much better to my ears. My buddy who was all about the Vega also recently picked up the Atlas and he just sold...- Omegon

What? Really? How would you compare to the Atlas bass if you've heard it? I too primarily listen to electronic music of all sorts and I'm in love with the Atlas. I've been getting a little worried as well about bass impressions from the early Solaris crowd.- Omegon

You should try the Final tips. I know with my Atlas they allow for the deepest insertion and improve the sound quality for me as a whole.- Omegon

Yea, im wary of getting customs just because I know my ear canals aren't always a constant. Depending on current health or whatnot they seem to change slightly from week to week. I also saw that Comply now offers 'custom strips' to solve fit issues with CIEMs. So I take it perfect fit isn't...- Omegon

That's awesome news! One reason I got the Atlas was that the fit was so much better for me than the other CA models, allowed for much better stability. Settled, Solaris has gone to the top of my list!- Omegon

This pricing debate is getting a little out of hand. I think we can all agree that we're involved in an expensive hobby, but that's by choice. At the end of the day a Ferrari will still get you from A to B the same as a Corolla. However, an enthusiast will tell you it's the details under the...- Omegon

I get that occasionally with the Atlas only when using the Final tips. However, I've never heard an audible crinkling sound to signify the driver is flexing. Thought maybe it had something to do with the better seal with the silicone tips. Regardless, it hasn't affected the sound quality so its...- Omegon

Haha Aren't these already? When the vast majority of IEMs produced globally are under $200 I'd say anything costing 5-10x as much would be considered luxury- Omegon
