Question on Senn HD 25-1 II and Senn HD 650

I can only compare them to HD595 (and some other non-Sennheiser headphones) and I would say that the HD25 do not have the veil. I like them pretty much and sold my Alessandro MS1s when I got them... Regards, Jonas

    HD280 vs SCL3 for a drummer

I would guess that HD280 don't have enough isolation either. I used Shure E2Cs for drumming and they were OK (mediocre sound but good isolation). I would pick SCL3. Regards, Jonas

Alternative to stuttering Lame-VBR on iPod Mini?

Hello! Thank you for your reply. I think 320kbps files are too big for me. Also I'm going to stick with the original firmware. Do you think that Nero AAC ABR is significantly better than Lame MP3 ABR at ~160kbps? Regards, Jonas

Alternative to stuttering Lame-VBR on iPod Mini?

Hello! I got an iPod Mini 2G and put a new battery and a 16GB CF card in it. Most of the music I have put on it are Lame (3.98) VBR from V2 to V5 and let's say on every tenth song there is stuttering caused by the iPod not being "fast" enough for spontaneous bitrate changes. Is there a...

    Digital Piano Cans

Hi! I use HD25 with my digital piano and really like them. I'm wondering if it's even possible to have an upgrade from these for 100 pounds. Is there anything you miss with HD25s? Besides I would call the MS1 to be a better allrounder over the HD595 (also cheaper), can't comment on DT990 or...

    "Green" alternative to Sansa Fuze?

Hi! I'm using a Sansa Clip 2GB at the moment and would like to upgrade to something with more storage space. The Fuze looks nice but I don't want to buy a device again that has to be thrown away in ~2 years because the battery becomes flat and is not replacable. Are there any portable...

[Help: IN-EAR] NYC Train Riding Beatmaker

I'd say that UE super.fi 3 actually don't have any real bass response. Don't use them for making music or even try to use them for mixing. Jonas

How to notice distortion in your system?

Hello! When listening to music with this system Marantz CD-57 -> Technics SU-600 -> Stax SRD-6/SB -> Stax SR-5 I often feel like hearing some kind of distortion. It's really just a small amount and I don't know whether if it's part of the music (loudness compression/clipping) or somewhere...

    Auditioning Headphones in Germany

Hello! Depending on how far you want to go you might consider the Music Store in Cologne. It's a pretty big store that sells all kinds of instruments and I think they have a wall where several headphones can be auditioned. I listened to AKG K701 once but don't know which headphones they have...
