Has anyone added a tube amp to the HugoTT2 and MScaler combination? If so, was the difference enjoyable? Lastly, anyone use the Woo WA7 Gen3 specifically?- alishafai

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
My setup is simple. And, I tend to be brand loyal. I usually only upgrade with Audeze, Chord, Kimber, etc. And, as I get the itch for the next shiny thing, something I have now must go. First, because that's how I can finance what I want, and secondly, because my OCD doesn't allow other items to...- alishafai

After much sitting on the sidelines, I did the same, going for Mitch's convolution filter. I only wish I had done it sooner, rather than spending so much time messing around with EQ. 😅- alishafai

I think he travels with the Hugo 2 and M Scaler. And, I don't think he runs TT2 off power banks, only the M Scaler. Does anyone know for a fact whether he runs the TT2 off of a power bank as well?- alishafai

From what I see, MS automatically goes into "Stand By", when not in use. There is no action that we can take, other than use, not use, or unplug from a power source.- alishafai

This is what I am thinking as well, but if I am wrong, I would appreciate the education. I use my MacBook Pro as a source, where I go USB out from it into MS, and then dual BNC into TT2. Is it not correct to think/believe that there is benefit to be had because the USB output from the MacBook...- alishafai

Which battery do you use with the M Scaler? Is there a power conditioner or protector of sorts that you plug all of your devices into?- alishafai

We have covered running the MS off of a battery, but what about the TT2. For those that have MS/TT2 combo, what are you using for the TT2, its supplied power supply, a linear power supply, or some other solution altogether?- alishafai

Interestingly, I've been wondering exactly the same thing. Right now, I am going from MacBook Pro>>>MS>>>TT2. But, I've started my research into streamers, and will let you know what I land on.- alishafai

On the website, there is an option to select connector tips, when purchasing. Which connector tip, if any, is needed? Are there any other accessories from Bix or elsewhere needed in using this solution with the MS? Can you please post pictures of how it is connected to your MS? Thank you!- alishafai

With the Bix, do you use its supplied cable to go directly into HMS? When you've received it, would you mind posting pictures of it connected to your HMS? And, your impressions, of course. 😃- alishafai

New HMS user question: Is it normal to have the OP SR orb illuminated when the HMS is not being used [standby mode]? Mine is illuminated persistently even when the TT2 and HMS are not being used.- alishafai

My MS arrives in a couple of days, and I like to try connecting to it via Optical. The MS will be paired with TT2. My MacBook Pro can't output via Optical. So, my question is, am I better off [SQ wise] getting a network streamer with Optical out to go into the MS or simply get a USB to Optical...- alishafai

I’m just about to get an HMS to pair with TT2, and want to try the DIY cables your suggest. Can you please provide some basic instructions of how to assemble the ferrites with the cables from mouser.com? Thank you much!- alishafai
