From what I see, MS automatically goes into "Stand By", when not in use. There is no action that we can take, other than use, not use, or unplug from a power source.Sorry to resurrect this. I keep seeing references to ”standby mode” but no such reference in the manual or on the device/remote. What then is standby mode? Dies it really mean “Powered down but still plugged in at the wall”?
Chord seem to recommend putting the device into Standby when not in use but my reading of this thread suggests most don’t do this?
Well you did post in the M-Scaler thread, not the TT2 thread hence the responses. TT2 automatically goes into standby mode after inactivity, sometimes it is quick and sometimes I have noticed it take a bit longer. Once I completely disconnected the M-Scaler from the power source, the TT2 went into standby mode almost immediately.I don’t have an M-Scalar. Just the TT2.
It operates in AMP mode. Am I to assume then that if I turn off my Innuos Zenith then the TT2 goes into Standby?
I suppose the question then, given that I don’t currently turn off the Innuos, is whether there’s anything to be gained by Standby or by putting the TT2 itself off.
I typically use DAC mode, I will switch over to amp mode and see what it does. Even in DAC mode, there is a light coming from the inside window when in standby.Apologies. i must be tired. I am aware there‘s a TT2 thread. Think I ended up here because of a forum search.
I’m intrigued/possibly worried. My TT2 has never dropped into Standby in just over two years of ownership. What am I missing? The volume light and the sample rate light remain on at all times unless I physically switch it off.
I won’t have an answer on that for amp mode, I’ve switched my unit to amp mode and for the last 30 minutes it’s still on. Back in DAC mode it went into standby with no lights except inside the glass, very low light almost immediately. Reading other posts, technically it’s in standby mode when you press the button on the right or remote power button. I know that doesn’t necessarily help.I originally used DAC mode and moved to AMP as the former didn’t given me enough travel on the volume.
If both lights stay on how then does one know when Standby has occurred?
