Good sounding ear-buds for running.
Hey guys, just wanted to get an idea of what some good earbuds for running would be. It needs to have good sound, and be easily cleanable. Most importantly, however, is the ability to stay in my ear. It is a must that I can put these things in, and go through my whole run without the buds...- Epicfailman

Possible burnout on a Little Dot I+. How can I tell for sure?
Hey guys, the other day my TI-89 fell off my shelf and onto the tubes in my Little Dot. The tubes were clearly knocked part-ways out of the sockets, so I hurriedly turned the amp off. I waited about an hour before messing with it, and I reseated the tubes and turned it on. Everything seemed to...- Epicfailman

Compass vs. Little Dot DAC
Well, from what I can find, it seems that for the $300 range and lower, the Audio-gd Compass and the Little Dot DAC are the two best options. Which is the best for me? My current setup is Asus D2X > Little Dot I+ > AD700 I just purchase a pair of HFI-780s. Further down the road I would like...- Epicfailman

Not sure what to get...
So my budget for new headphones $550 maximum. I cannot get any higher whatsoever. I am entering college next semester, so I can't pull money from elsewhere. My problem lies in that I need a new pair of phones and a DAC. My main computer is going from a desktop to a laptop, so the DAC is...- Epicfailman

Any AD700 mods out there?
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knew of any AD700 mods floating around out there? They are pretty cheap, so I wanted to know if there are any mods I can do to improve the sound quality or something like that. This project is just for fun, so it doesn't have to be cost effective necessarily...- Epicfailman

markl AH-D5000 vs. modded ATH-W5000
Out of these two headphones, which do you think would be better for someone who listens to a lot of rock and plays a good deal of first-person shooters? For the FPS I have some ATH-AD700s for positioning when I want to run my score up, but for some first-person shooters I really would like...- Epicfailman

Closed cans for $250
So I am currently running a Little Dot I+ and some AD700s and I would like to get a pair of headphones that will be good for games and movies. The AD700s are great for FPS to help figure out where people are, but they are not the best for immersion. I am gonna run the Little Dot I+ on a Little...- Epicfailman

ATH-AD700 vs AKG K701
Hey guys. I currently am running a pair of AD700s off of a Little Dot I+ with some WE 408As (matched) and I was looking at possibly getting a pair of AKG K701s for my main headphones. I mostly listen to rock music and some instrumental. So here is my question, as much as they can be objectively...- Epicfailman

Great way to take apart Grados
So my friend and I were trying to take apart his SR-60s to woody them (a little ridiculous yes, but we want to see how nice we can make them and we want to get some practice before we try anything a bit more expensive). To make a long story short, after much difficulty in getting the drivers out...- Epicfailman

Is my Little Dot I+ broken?
Hey guys, I was very excited today when my Little Dot I+ came in the mail today. Naturally I went straight for the package and left all the other mail on the table. I open it up and pull out the manual so I can make sure I get all my settings right for my WE 408As I got from yen audio on ebay...- Epicfailman

Little Dot I+ 1/8 to rca cable questions.
So, from what I understand, the Little Dot I+ comes with a 1/8" to dual RCA adapter when you buy it. Mine is currently shipping from China, and I wanted to know about the quality of the cable. Is it gonna be as good as something I can buy for $50 or will I need to buy/make another? I know that...- Epicfailman

To reterminate or not to reterminate?
Hey guys, I have a pair of AD700s that I would like to reterminate from a 1/8" plug to a 1/4" plug instead of using the adapter. I have heard that this makes a nice sound difference. I will be running it out of the 1/4" little dot I+ headphone out line 100% of the time. So my question is, is it...- Epicfailman

Quinpu Q-2 vs Little Dot I+
Hello, Between the two hybrids listed here, which would be more suitable for driving some ATH-AD700s? Fro my budget, hybrid seems to the the way to go and I have heard good things about both amps, but the LD I+ seems to have quite a bit more popularity. Whichever I get, I will roll new tubes for...- Epicfailman

Best amp for AD700s?
Hey, I was wondering, what do you guys think would be the best amp to drive my AD700s for no more than $200 total? I am also okay with DIY stuff, but if you give a recommendation, the total cost cannot peak $200. I mostly listen to rock music and play fps and rts games if that helps you to know...- Epicfailman

Fiio E5 and AD700s
Hey guys. I am going to get a pair of Audio Technica AD700s and run them on an Auzentech Prelude and I had ~$40 dollars left in the budget. Someone recommended I get a Fiio E5. How much better would they sound on that amp and is there a better amp for $40 or less? Or should I go ampless and run...- Epicfailman

Hi, my question is what kind of headphones are the best for ~$150 (including used pairs that I could buy off of this website)? I play a lot of first person shooters and listen to mostly rock.
